Minecraft is just so PURRfect, especially when cats are around you Meow!
Does it matter if such cruise ship is complete? I spent hours (3) building a cruise ship, which I am still working on. I also have another, not-so-cruise ship on the same map.
I still need to work on the stern. The bow is mostly complete in that I don't know what else to add. The ship has two lower decks but no rooms set up. I think I may release it after getting the stern built and let you guys finish it. Those three or four pillars down the middle of the ship are my support beams for the floors. You can knock them out if you want.
I was going to use iron blocks for the ship, but decided wood looks better. And then it quickly became a Medieval style ship. My original ship I mentioned in this topic happens to be 100x the size of this one, or so it feels.
Tell me what you think and/or anything you want to suggest.
*UPDATE EDIT*
I have built a stern and made some changes. The second mast - the one with the sail - seemed too small for the ship. So I turned the third mast - where the first is closer to the bow - is now an even larger sail with a crows nest on top. I also added a bridge and a poop deck.
The fourth mast has been turned into a small flag pole. The first mast is inside the bridge but goes no higher than the ceiling and can be knocked out easily. The insides are still empty of cabins, but I am doing that on purpose. It's so that you can use your own style for them. Here's a pic of the outside pre minor changes. I also made a short video in which I actually make the changes. The video is still uploading. Pic with DL
I'm so blown away by how amazing they are outside and inside. I'm sure my father would think that screenshot of the Queen Mary 2 is a photo of the real thing.
Am I the only one in this topic so far building their own design? That one ship I talked about that took 3 hours - it's trashed now. I didn't know about the height restriction so I can't build the other four decks. Oh well. And the one I made a video of - I deleted the video and realized I didn't really finish the stern (oops). By time I realized that, I already had the cabins built.
And now I am building a larger ship than that one I completed. It's still smaller than the one I can't finish, even as it sits. It too is in water. I still need to fill in the main deck. And then I get to build the upper decks and, finally, the cabins. I am ready to quit, but, as I just said, I'm still far from done. I also have to get rid of some bats.

In this topic? yes, in Minecraft? no, there's plenty of people (like me) making their own ship designs in the game whether they be good or bad.
Name of Ship: Carnival Splendor Time it took to build it: 8.5 months Server which you built it on: themecraft.me (see my post for important info on how to see it) Number of rooms: 1,503 guest cabins and about 500 crew cabins Some specs: 17 decks - 492 blocks long - 71 blocks wide - 119 blocks tall - Over 1.1 million blocks in total Places, Restaurants, and Theaters: Buffet restaurant, 2 dining rooms, and 1 Steakhouse. All other lounges also present. Waterparks/Pools/Waterslides: Kid's Splash Park, 3 swimming pools, 1 Twister Waterslide
This was a one man job which is why it took a lot of time. There were contributors who have helped, but in total, put in about an hour's worth of work. Everything is mapped out as accurately as possible.
After seeing this I kinda don't even know if I should even pretend to show this off...
M/V Onyx Surveyor
Time it took to build it: So far... 3 weeks.
Number of rooms on the boat: So far....
6 Aft Grand Suites [All named after a type of gem]
10 'Studio' one-person staterooms
50 'Exterior' Staterooms - Window Rooms
80 Balcony Staterooms
8 Bow-facing Suites. [+1 large suite with window close to bow]
I feel as if I'd have more rooms if I didn't make them actual rooms with bathrooms and tables and beds and everything. Not done though, still decks to me made!
Places, Restaurants, and Theaters on the boat: So far, movie theater, several bars (frontrunner, atrium bar, rainbow bar), sushi restaurant, main dining room, shopping mall, casino (construction started), nightclubs, atrium lounge, cocktail lounge right under bow on jogging track (frontrunner), library, Buffet (unnamed, area ready), mega-library,smokers lounge, photography center, brick oven pizzeria, Jet Ski Rentals, Full port/terminal, plan to add even more!
Waterparks/Pools/Waterslides: Not up to that yet! Will be added Also, jet ski rentals.
Anything else you want to share about your Cruise: Self designed. Self built. Based off ships like the Allure of the Seas, Norwegian Gem, Norwegian Breakaway, Royal Princess, Cel. Solstice, etc. Innovation by way of signs made of smaller signs, something I've never ever seen done before. COMPLETE INTERIOR
E: That's a 2:1 L:W ratio. Aside from Oasis/Allure which have ~6:1 ratios, most ships have 8:1-10:1 ratios. Gonna be REALLY fat/disproportional is all I'm saying.
I saw this on google images the other day and thought it was cool
Cruise ships are my favorite type of build
