I am done with the mansion. I hope it's the style you're looking for. My Timelapse: " frameborder="0" autoplay="false" allowfullscreen sandbox="allow-forms allow-scripts allow-same-origin allow-popups">

Yes....thats about as close as you could probably get in minecraft for that style of build. Yeah. Just keep the rest of the village in proportion to that though and it will all be good. I get off work in like 2 hours so I will download then. I still have 2 and a half sets to finish converting that is in the mod for the new gen code I have and will start on this and the halloween set, they will be the first two in.
The way I am generating now is pretty efficient...but I think Since it is going to be a kit you can make it pretty much around 125x125 max for just the castle itself. Then make the walls around it separate, not connected. The height of the castle can be about 125 as well and make the walls about half I guess so long as it looks proportionate to the castle. Then just a variety of the peasant area shops and other little huts and what not. That way when I split it up in MCEdit it will all fit together nicely. Just a thought, you can also add stuff like traps and chests (empty) and things, if you want. From that you can use your imagination as to how it will all look no other restrictions, which are only because of generation lag on lower end PC's. Have fun with it.
Actually, if you could break it up even further it would be better. 58x58 is about the max size a static array can hold, or 3400 blocks square, so you can make any flat shape whose area is about 3400 blocks. Vertically doesn't matter. Unfortunately those are the current limitations of my tool... anything with a base area bigger than that will have to be built modularly.
So for a castle, you could build an East Wing, West Wing, Central Keep, Corner Towers, etc. whatever you need. With the tool you could preset offsets for each of these structures so that you could spawn them all from a central location and they would be in the correct spot, rather than running around trying to figure out where they should go.
Good work pays off, I just wish I could code faster, I may need to recruit some help to finish setting up all the structure code. Once all is done and coded in, I have a mention in my thread that any contributor gets an early release of the build with the structures they built so they can see how it looks in game. So you are on that list along with everyone else here that is contributing...
I have checked around the forums and have asked several. The last two people I have asked and said they would I have not heard from again. One had actually shown pics and then nothing more. If you know of any dedicated builders, I would really appreciate it, the sooner I can get these built, the sooner I can implement and then just do the decoration, and layout, and then just maintain until I feel the need to expand. I would very much like to have the Halloween and Russian sets as soon as possible...
You are more than welcome to do so. And if there are anything else along the lines of the kids type you think you can do, by all means, just let me know and then I can start crossing things off. I would really like that pirate ship, and the Mickey Mouse club house. Other things to think about would be the Octonauts underwater HQ, also Doc McStuffins playhouse and anything else that kids watch these days....
Haha. Alright. SO what do i need to do with it once its finished?
Also, do I have to make a village out of this? Because I've also got to worry about my building series.
I would appreciate a village, you can take your time, I am in no rush really. I still have lots of work left to do yet so you have time. But yes a village would be good, I would only need like 4 more structures and maybe a fountain. With the detail and size and can make variations out of them to full fill anything else I would need from it. I also like the fantasy stuff you showed me on the first page.
