Hey there,
I'm using the Soartex Fanver texture pack in my game and have gone through and "tweaked" it to my liking, replacing some of the blocks with things more to my tastes (like the doors, stucco, paintings added a TV and tile work) but even though I replaced a few blocks in terrain.png (the glow stone and chiseled sandstone) with my own things, they are still showing the texture packs original texture in the game. Is there something else besides terrain.png I need to edit for those? Is there a cache somewhere that is retaining those?
Hopefully my question didn't confuse anyone too bad. lol
Thanks in advance.
Camper: I did that yesterday, thinking the same exact thing as you but it did nothing to fix it. GMTA
Twiice: YES! I checked the CTM folder and found the random.png and edited that and it fixed the issue with chiseled sanstone. Unfortunately none of this fixed the glowstone texture. I'm certain that has something to do with the repeating texture setting. I'm going to go back into MCPatcher and remove that setting and see what happens.
Daedalus: I don't work with zip files at all. Everything is extracted to its own sub folder within the texturepack folder. I'm positive I have it selected within the game since I only run this pack.
Edit: Twiice you were spot on! I disabled the connected texture option in MCpatcher and the light fixtures updated. Bravo! Thanks to everyone who responded and tried to help. It was greatly appriciated.
Edit again (lol): I spoke to soon. I didn't realize that I completely unpatched the game instead of just disabling the connected textures. Unfortunately even with connected textures unchecked and the whole CTM folder removed from the texture packs sub folder I'm still getting the texture packs default glow stone when I apply MCpatcher without connected textures option checked. I'm going to keep digging but if anyone can think of any other reason this would be happening, I'm open to any ideas. As always any help is appreciated.
