I'm new to this forum, but I'm looking to start posting my projects around places, and this seemed like a fantastic place. Here is a video of one of my newest and largest Minecraft projects so far. Tell me what you think.
I'd also like to mention that I'm looking to build on major multiplayer servers to gratify my building addictions.
I usually don't respond to topics because i don't think many builds are worth the effort of writing a comment (am i lucky there isn't a downvote )
But you show promise. Although i think the build is still a bit plain the aesthetics are promising.
You are still a bit to focused on size rather than on depth i guess. I'd suggest in stead of thinking of the next room and expanding the build keep it small but add more depth. Like adding relief to the walls, use less plain stone. Don't use the default texture pack because it's really really boring and won't let you do much with color scheme's (there are a lot of good texture packs, i personally use John Smith's texture pack (32x)). Less plain surfaces, instead of size, depth. I think that would benefit your build quite a bit.
I very much appreciate your input, thank you. Yes, I agree the normal texture pack can be rather boring. If I was to continue work on this project I would most definitely definitely add more detail to all the surfaces, including the walls behind the main tower. Great criticism thank you

I think it is really good man...yes more detail would be nice, but that can be said with anything. I just love the orignallity, and the thought put in to it. Keep it up man!
Love the contrast between the ceiling and the ground when it came to lighting, I thought that was done really well! I think that I will have to agree with what lentebriesje for once. Some more detail with blocks that add a bit more POP! into it would give a better contrast than having just a solid color of grey and stone with some leaves hanging around Nonetheless, a cool texture pack would be good to add more depth and detail to your builds hehe Although, I've seen some pretty epic things done with a default pack.
