Ah thanks guys! Took me ages lol - the red and purple sailed boat took me just over 8 hours to build haha. I might upload a map file in the near future so watch this spot!
I can see where it took so long! It's looking good, but that ship looks a bit unbalanced to me - it's got a huge hull, but by comparison hardly any sail area. I think it could look much better if it carried more sail.
And another point - is it supposed to be docked in harbour or moving off? Because I get the impression that it's meant to be stationary - but the sails are billowing with wind. If it was stopped, then they would be furled.
If it's meant to be leaving port, though, that's not a problem.
Okay so just added an updated picture - the start of the residential district. Not much at the moment - just a few small, poor looking houses, more development soon. Thanks for all of the advice guys.
I see what you mean - on hindsight maybe a couple of design changes should have been made. Anyhow, I'll take your advice on board for future ship builds. I really cannot be bothered to change the design for the Red Gale now seeing as it took me so long haha!
I have decided I will most probably be expanding this project to a sort of kingdom or country with dozens of towns and cities with castles etc. Making it into a big project. Not sure if I will update this topic or make a new one covering the entire kingdom instead.
This is amazing o.o I love the whole lore and history you have surrounded your creation with, it makes it a lot more interesting when people do that. I was just wondering whether you're going to surround every district in the same sort of wall that you've put behind the harbour, or is it solely for that district?
Nice, I really like it. D you think you would put up a download link for it though? I would like to have a closer look at how you've made the city, in particular your ships, I can never get them right, and you seem to have done a quite a good job.

I guess I'm a little late, but just letting you know that this is awesome. I just searched up in google "Minecraft medieval harbor town" and this is perfect. I wish I could play on it. I'm thinking about trying to build one my own. Thanks for sharing!
