Yeah connecting some of the stuff won't be too easy (Cycling Road that connects Celadon and Fuschia springs to mind) And what will you do about the Safari Zone? Because on a map it would just appear as the entrance building but there's a huge outside area to it as well. But making it would likely interfere with other map locations. Ah, decisions decisions :tongue.gif:
Cycling road is going to be a challenge because of the slope but other than that is a straight line. Safari Zone if i have the room i will try and make it but if i dont i will do what i did in Viridian Forest and put a path leading to the Wardens Office at the end.

Not bad!
Maybe if you can harness the power of biomes you can make the grass and tree colors different to match the town. Might not be that useful in kanto, but in the other regions it would be useful.
Also make Snowpoint City and other ice-themed towns in a snowy biome.

Now this is awesome. I've been to servers where they've worked on Kanto and other regions, but I really like the quality of this work. I've been tempted to do such a thing myself, but I think I'd have to do something like Johto instead. Don't want to encroach on this awesome. :happy.gif:

You could just use half-stone blocks and make it go down half a level every 3 or 4 blocks.
Well im not a modder so i dont even know how to put biomes where i want them to be.
Im not going to be doing a snow themed places for a while so we will see.
I might do something like that but not ever 3-4 blocks it to close then maybe every 30-40 blocks.

Wow thanks and to think im doing this all by myself too.
Plus im planing to do all the regions but that might take me over a year to finish.
With Cycling Road you could just keep it all straight. Because when you play the Kanto region in the games you can't tell it's slanted at all, so you would easily get away with not making it slope.
Im planing on making it slanted but not the amount that it is in the game, max will be 12 blocks vertically.
OK well since the 1.0.0 update and the swamp biome having no transition, i am going to edit the map on the 1.8.1 jar because Pewter city looks RIDICULOUS.
hey man so after i saw what you did i decided to start dong sinnoh i just thought id suggest that for the snowy regions you could put snow golems in the area ur doing it if you dont wanna mod
The buildings may be a be difficult but I'm amazed more of this type of work doesn't get done. After all, our old video games were made up of blocks too, just 2D ones! I bet its a bit of a head trip to see it in 3D, and then cheat by going through the woods!

Connect what??

It looks even better when your walking around it, its a real blast from the past.
