The greatest creations are those that you make because you want to not because you have to.
Hello Xineorad. I find myself wondering if this project is still active, as the last post was made in 2011. If it is still active, I believe that I would really enjoy helping to work on it- I have a fairly extensive time slot in my day, and would like to fill it with something fun. I have read all of Jordans's (and Sanderson's based on Jordan's notes) Wheel of Time books, and really like Minecraft. When I looked it up to see if they had a Wheel of Time minecraft project, I was surprised to find one as it is an incredibly large map. Please hold me under consideration- I have only been banned once and that was the op messsing aroound. I was unbanned within the minute. Thank you, and have a good day.

I really love the Wheel of time series and I think everything your doing is awesome for all of us fans out there. My suggestion for your next project is to build Fal Dara or The Blight. Fal Dara I think might be easier to build because its built very basically as a defensive structure to protect against trolloc raids. The Blight might be harder as you would have to include the Green man's home along with the drear landscape.
After having been away for two years... We are returning.
Sorry. I myself went to serve an honorable full-time LDS mission. It's important spiritual experience that I had, and I wouldn't trade it for the world. (Yes, even working on this "supposedly" dead project.)
If all the excitement from two years ago is dissipating, fret not! We're back in action and will likely have a revival video to showcase The White Tower 2.0, (first design below was scrapped). Sadly, much of the team, (including me), is/was either out of contact, or in college, or is now supporting a family. Such is life.
Now, we never had an actual server that we built upon. We always did a LAN or hooked-up via Hamachi servers. It wasn't easy. We as the team knew each other personally and I trusted them to build and not grief. If you're wondering why I haven't responded to any of your requests to participate, understand that we as a team aren't the snazzy top dog MCer's out there with fancy doodads that save their servers, (automatically and with resets), nor do we want them. Griefers still exist. With that in mind, we're very careful with who we add. Plus, we added to our PMC that we are not going to make it Public. Sorry, it's just the way this part of the infinite internet is going to be.
Now for those who want to collaborate, we may/may not contact you on whether or not you get included.
I understand someone wanted to implement a mod, but this is being built "vanilla", a mod wasn't being considered in the beginnings. The newest updates that I've recently poured over seem to make it even less needful for a mod, (horses, hay, etc...).
All we'd like currently is your support! Thanks for those who do. We'll be in touch.

It's very impressive you're still working on this after so long. The builds and detail are all solid, and it all has a really need fantasy design to it. Great job, this is really cool.
The Wheel of Time is by far my favourite series; my first few attempts at writing my own book were inspired by Robert's fantastic creation. If you truly intend to spend years on recreating wonders out of the world he created FuroxMC, I would like to request permission to join you. It never occurred to me to build things out of The Wheel of Time; there have been other massive-scale projects I took part in, such as recreating the World of Gielinor (RuneScape).
Do you plan on creating the entire world, or just the six key locations that you have listed on the opening post? If it is the latter, then I withdraw my earlier desire to participate. It does not change the fact that I am both impressed and interested by your endeavours. I would like to say that upon noticing this post, it drew upon me the 'need' to dig up one of the WoT books from one of my cluttered bookshelves. The one I took, is 'Towers of Midnight'; I even decided to take a picture of the map and post it here, just because I could:
Regardless of the choice you make about allowing me to join you, I wish you luck, and I hope that you continue to build these projects to their conclusion.
Yay, grass paths! We were on hiatus for a long while.
The Advent of 1.9... *cue angelic choir*
With the advent of 1.9 bringing new Grass Paths to the table, we became really inspired to work long and hard on the tower. We began with the necessities, yes, those bare necessities. Ones which add variation and theme to this building. The tower looked rather bland before we made some modifications to the main tower, the walls, and structure surrounding the main tower. The ajah towers are in need of a few changes, we still have one grassy area that needs sprucing up, and the interior is coming slowly. But all in all, we have this growing feeling that we've almost finished this bit. It's rather exciting!
Everything past this point is quickfire so here goes!
- We've got a new signature, one that actually looks cool.
- After "reeeally" looking hard at the map, we figured we built the whole thing wrong anyways. Oh, well! *CL
- The tower has 2002 beds in the main Tower alone.
- Of those rooms, there are enough chests to cause entity lag.
- There are 4 secrets and 2 secret passageways.
- We have hand-placed over 700,000 blocks. My hands hurt.
- Q: Does anyone know good methods of windows for stone buildings or examples we could see?
Want to help?
Whew.. So who wants to help out? We've concluded that one way to circumvent griefers is to have those with an eye for what we're building to submit builds! That's right, you heard me!
I thought you guys didn't want help?
The team is smaller at this point in time. Just me and Gouda_Boy. And frankly, we really wanted to have people contribute, just those darned griefers messed up a lot of our early works, (and we're ultra-pissed off for eternity about that), but we feel that by doing these submission based contributions, you can assist without us panicking.
What do you need?
You can be credited and included in the world of the Lord Dragon by making houses, ships, monuments, interesting locations, travel stops, villages, and other things that you think would be nice to include. If you're interested, we can give you the guidelines we will be looking for. We're going to start small with these submissions, so don't build anything enormous or complicated. You'll probably also want OzoCraft resource pack to build with. We are under the impression it will be updated, but if by June nothing happens, we'll modify it ourselves. Shouldn't be too hard. Just a png file right? ... right?

You know... Sometimes things go well. Sometimes they don't!
Other times. Everything works perfectly. Others, for the worst.
This is neither.
It is merely... EPIC!
Thanks for your support, if you happen to see this thread. Please return to the beginning to watch it.
