Hey guys, I am currently building a city. I have a school, football stadium, countless small restaurants, hospital, fire dept, a town hall and a few parks. Does anyone have anymore ideas that follow the small town/city look? We are currently working on a jail, church and library as well. I am on the xbox version and have minecraft block lol. Much help needed!!! Thanks!
(Note: I found this by using google search, so sorry if this counts as a necro post.)
Good tips, should help me w/ the town i am building w/ the aether II mod. Might post some pics here soon.
What about organic builds? I've been building a lot of those recently and have searched the whole internet for some strategies for making my organic builds better. Anyone got some advice for me?
Hello, I'm Gor. I've been building Minecraft structures for a long time. I'm at least somewhat proficient in building, according to my friends. However, I am currently creating a paramilitary multi-building facility and I'm stuck. I've been devoting at least 7 hours a week just planning it. I can get a blueprint together, and I can make the structure work, but I need ideas on what to make it look like, and details. I'm trying to give it a military, no-nonsense look, without making it a bunch of cubes with windows. I am willing to give credit, and I will post pictures near the last 30-20% of the project due to privacy and conflicted preferences. Thanks!
I really don't think such a long guide is needed, my only tips is to be creative there is NO LIMIT to imagination, add cool features like redstone and mobs.
And last but not least, EVERY awesome building needs a theme!!!Please let me grow up by clicking me I don't want to die! Click my brothers and sisters too:

It takes you 6 seconds to read all of this, 0.3 seconds to look at the egg, 0.2 seconds to click it, 3 seconds to read it's description, 1 second to exit out the page, and 10 seconds to forget it ever happened. :3
Made in 2011 and just brought up now, this is still relevant! A lot of people, myself included, struggle to create intricate, detailed builds. Interesting read.
I have build this big bussiness building and i am happy how the outside of the towers turned out.
But i am struggeling with the inside (between the towers) and the balcony. Just filling in the walls is to plain.
Really having a creative block. Does anyone have some idea's?
(screenshots should be attached)
That looks epic as it is, I don't think you could make it any better. If you really must fill the inside and the balconies, you have to ask yourself what type of buildings you think this pair are. Is there a street under that bridge? A sidewalk? A market place? A sewer or subway entrance? Are the buildings residential? Commercial/office? Governmental? These things really determine whether it is appropriate to put tents and banners or vases and lamps, and those little details are what I assume you're going for now that you've finished the meat and potatoes of your project.

Here is the picture of the area (hopefully this works)
True that- Wood is available in different real life colors, but stone is limited in 1.8.4
