I am building an aquarium and the bottom of it is made of wooden slabs. However, the fish in my aquarium keep swimming down to it and rubbing themselves on it. Why? Also, my dolphin died because of it? Does anyone know why I can't have slabs or if it is just a problem with the fish? Do I need sand? Thank you.
Fish just pathfind strange, it has nothing to do with the slabs. Also, dolphins need to get air to breathe, and can drown like players. They can get breath from air or bubble columns.

The bottom of the aquarium has to be sand if you want o place Coral. The fish swim in odd
directions because there are pockets of currents in the water. Make sure every single block of
water, is full with zero flow. Do that by swimming and paying attention to when you get pulled.
That should fix it.
