Hi everyone , presently under construction is the "Ocean Wave" Hotel. I'm still not positive that a terracotta and concrete exterior will work but we shall see. The bones of the hotel are diorite .
Progress is slow , mainly because as per design, nothing lines up, I tried glass block instead of windows but I didn't like the look. Let me know what you think of the new blocks .
The windows are all in . Orienting the glazed terracotta is very time consuming and to difficult to use on anything but the floors on this building. Both sides of the Ocean Wave Hotel are shown .
My New World is really starting to feel grounded but there is always room for change and improvement so remember that your comments and suggestions and yes critiques are always welcome. I like the flow of the "Ocean Wave" so I may try a variation on that theme .
This building never looked complete to me . I think the addition of circular balconies really opens it up. This shot is of the first side I'm working on.
The building on the right is my "New World's". . Data Centre, the Upper Pod contains four individual glassed in sub pods with five floors each under construction . There is still a lot of work but I wanted to share my progress . I'm just winging this so if you have any suggestions on materials or design I would like to hear them.
Here is an interior shot of a lower floor . I'm getting ride of the original few floors as I didn't like the look. This shot was taken using the "Conquest" texture pack.
The first pod is almost done , let me know what you think of the floors. I've included a long distance view for perspective . I think I'll use the 3rd pic as my wallpaper for a while.
The huge staircases contain hidden internal stairs that climb from the lowest dungeon to the top of the structure with recessed torches along the walls . Three quarters of the build will be on the inside and a few pics will follow.Your comments and suggestions are always welcome. I hope you like it.
So far I'm guessing 16 hours plus and I still have most of the inside to do and there are a lot of levels since I'm building down into a deep crevice .

The terracotta cladding is looking good , your suggestions are welcome. I tried blue concrete but I thought it was to much ,what do you think.
I'm trying to add different blocks but the stuff I've added to the bottom rows just doesn't look right , what do you think .
I removed the blue and gold terracotta and now it's time for a few thousand windows
What do you think of the new blocks . I think they are a great addition .

I almost forgot the "side" view.

The balconies are complete and offer some amazing views of my growing city .
I oriented the glazed terracotta surrounding the building.

In this progress shot you can see the concrete floors on the upper levels

This will be the colonies crypt/catacombs with hopefully enough tunnels and levels to create a decent maze.

I put a torch at every intersection to give you an idea how many cross tunnels/corridors there are.
