Honestly, this look absoloutely amazing and I personally think once it's completed either sell it off or keep it(if you want) due to the amount of good detail this could sell for a good price. The detail you're putting into this is amazing and I wouldn't have the patience at all to do something like this.

This is actually going to be part of an adventure map someday, so I don't plan on selling it. Thank you for the complements!
Pretty huge update today! I finished the Main Gate, and the entrance of the city behind it. I also completed the Grand Arch (which I decided to keep as-is, a decision I'm happy with) and parts of the third level. There's this neat little alley overlooking the entrance that I really like.
The Main Gate, with some guards on duty.
Directly beyond the Main Gate. Still have some work to do on the upper balconies. That big doorway in the middle leads to other parts of the city.
Decided not to focus on the fourth level today, and decided to start finishing up the levels below them. I built this little undercity thing, with a few small houses. It also has an armor shop, Perendon's Leather. The shop is still WIP.
Besides that, I also finished up the last house on the third level. It's the biggest underground house so far, and I personally like it a lot. That door (which you can barely see) leads to a small storage area overlooking the undercity, which is a nice detail.
I thought I posted on this thread the first time I saw it, apparently not. But anyway I really like the main gate, the shops and houses inside the gate add a really nice level of detail, instead of just a plain entrance gate.
I'd be interested to see what this looks like with the regular Minecraft texture pack.
It looks like crap.
Today I worked on some finishing touches for the Quarters District. I completed the General Store, added a few towers to the fourth level, cleaned up the balconies, and connected them all together with staircases. I still have a few corridors and stuff to complete, but other than that, the Quarters District is the first addition to the completed list. Hurrah!
And for keeping this thread alive, download links for everyone once this district is finished.
Today I finished up the last of the Second Level houses, and did some framing for the third level.
The new house.
The Main Gate. And for those of you who think that arch is a bit over-the-top...it is, but this is a fantasy build so why not?
Progress so far.

I updated the original post to provide more information about the build and to give new people a better understanding of how much I have done.

Bit of an early update today, I finished up part of the arch. I really don't know if I like it or not...suggestions?
I dunno...it seems too much like a train station rather than a city.

Kinda resembles a great hall, if you want to make it into that.
I have no words to express how AWESOME this is! It's amazing!
'The Rusty Tankard' sounds really great
Keep on building

The view from the alley on Level 3.
Making progress...

when this is done is there going to be a download?
He said it's going to be part of an adventure map, but he might release a download just for this city once it's done
Here's the fourth and final level. Those houses are from the original build. I still have some work to do on it.

Two updates in one day?!?!?! This one is pretty small, just an image of the completed exterior of the Quarters District.

So awesome!, everything looks epic can't wait to be finnished
question: did you use worldpainter for the terrain?

Yup, the mountain was made with Worldpainter and polished with MCEdit.

Alright, voting time! What district should I start on next? Or do the two I've done so far still need work? (If so, please leave a reply stating why.)
