I've spent a bunch of time screwing around rather than building Town Square, but some cool things have come out of it.
(LOOK AT ALL THIS BULLCRAP!)
Sunny Flight is not implemented yet, but when the update releases, it will have a puzzle now! It's the same as the in-game puzzle, so it's not much of a secret, but it's still pretty cool.
Also! There's a title screen now! ...Kinda. The landscaping isn't done yet and the "interface" will probably be pretty clunky. But it's something!
It was fun to build at first, but now I'll just sum it up with this...
Once I'm done with this, it's back to Town Square again. I underestimated how long interior decoration takes, but hopefully it won't be too much longer until I'm finished.
I'm sure you've probably already found it or used it, but if you haven't seen it before: here's all the maps from Spyro 1 ripped using a mapviewer. Includes different angles of the map as well as birds eye view scenes. Provided by Catielady
Town Square is nearing completion. I have about an hour or two of interior work/journal writing left to do, perhaps another hour to do the mountains, and a quick scan through of the level on my PS4 to add in the creatures/flags/jump & speed boosts where relevant, should take 1-3 hours. With that in mind, I logically should have the level out... today, even if it took the maximum amount of time. But it will probably not be today. Because I am very lazy.
(Also I want to make a video on the changelog to go with the release, so that's another 3 hours of work. BUT, I have to put out the video on Dark Hollow first, because I have OCD and everything needs to be in order or I will explode. So that's ANOTHER 3 hours of work. I have definitely... definitely decided that it will not be today.)

...Or just go read the changelog on the download page.
Was this worth the nearly two-year wait? NO! But I hope you like it anyway! I'm just glad it's done.
A few notes: If you're gonna do the Sunny Flight puzzle, do it before you go to any portals. Unloading the chunks causes the redstone clocks making it work to explode. Until Mojang fixes this issue, there's nothing I can do about that. (I don't know why none of my particle clocks have ever had this problem, but whatever!)
Secondly, using the Stone Hill Return Home portal causes entities to start disappearing and reappearing at random! I don't even. There's nothing I can do about that either, so beware that portal!
After I finish my Town Square video, I'm going to be taking a break. I've been working on this every moment I could muster the will... and free time. For weeks. I'm tired and kind of sick of this map. XD But after that, I'm moving on to Toasty (a smallish level that shouldn't take nearly as long even if I go on a huge hiatus again!). There probably won't be a cool boss fight, because... I don't know how I would do that. But Wonder Pumpkin himself should make an appearance. ;P
Um... There's a baby zombie in Town Square that's SUPPOSED TO BE SILENT but isn't. Oops. I already uploaded the file, so we gotta wait for Toasty to fix that one!
Anyway, I haven't quite started on Toasty yet, but there was something you lot will hopefully find amusing. I just was looking around my old, old maps on MC:360 Edition, and...
I, uh... I built that when I was about 14 years old.
So yeah.
I would definitely say my building skills have improved drastically...
Anyway, I have done a few misc. improvements to the map, but I want to start on Toasty soon, so hopefully I'll have progress updates. Until then, thanks for 100 downloads on the new map, and 600 in total! Town Square has already surpassed both the Artisans Home and Stone Hill release downloads, which kinda boggles my mind! The Dark Hollow release has 402 downloads, but, er... that one doesn't count.
Just found this now and I am impressed. I saw like a Autumn Plains in Minecraft (and Summer Rise Spring) videos one time and was so impressed with those. I just had to see this thread. They look great. Keep it up. Can't wait to see more.

I've seen those on Youtube too and they're really cool. I didn't build them, though - it's going to be a long ride to Spyro 2 for me, hehe. ^^ Thank you.
Its all good, your builds are great, keep it up! I'm patient, I'm just excited that someone is doing these :). Can I record videos of me exploring the maps and send the map links to this forum thread for people to look at. I'll send the videos if you want. I'm a small youtuber and sadly no mic but I'm a person that focuses a lot on content types more. I usually highlight interesting or less known projects (mostly mods, but I want to get into highlighting builds and adventure maps at some point, I'd love to highlight these) and I love the Spyro original trilogy (the others aren't bad just never gave me the same feelings, 'a new beginning' was the last spyro game I cared about). So I'd love to give this more attention hopefully. If you don't want me to I totally understand. Thanks. I can't wait to see more.

Thank you. ^^ I already replied on Youtube, but yes, anyone is free to make videos on these. That'd make me really happy. XD
Cool, I know I questioned here before youtube, but just to be sure. Thanks! I explored all 4 and looked inside a few of the buildings here and there and it was a lot of fun. Its not much compared to playing the game (noticing how empty the game is like a developer LOL) but it was fun to see it from a creative view point. At least I'm not someone that compares for the scale. XD Nice work. I'll be waiting patiently.

Hey guys, I've decided to start streaming the building process, along with delivering a bit of a gaming podcast, so check it out if you're interested. I'll be starting in just a minute. (I'll still be posting update pictures here.)

Yeah, sadly there are no collectibles. That'd be pretty fun though, I hope someday a modder will come along and make this a real game. XD
Oh, Toasty... The dogs there would constantly scare me when I was little. Same with Toasty himself... Until I discovered what he really was.
Those dogs scared the crap out of me. I'd spend an hour in Toasty just inching towards them. XD Toasty himself I didn't find that scary, I noticed the sheep peeking out right away. xD
Oh this is really awesome! I have been creating a really cool survival world in crazy craft. Any tips?
I have a big problem I don't know how to take off my backpack i tried B it doesnt work for me!! if you know anything about this can you help me please! Thanks

Hmm, I've never played that (modpack?) before, sorry. If you mean building tips... There are probably better teachers than me, especially since I'm not really creating my own world, just making a rendition. XD
You should be able to remap your controls so that you can assign the backpack to B again, though. ^^
I just finished checking it all out and I have one complaint:
Was the zombie, human, and other screwed up stuff "story-line" really necessary? It feels far too removed from the actual world of Spyro and lacks reason, to me.
Update!

This looks good so far. I haven't played the first Spyro game in forever. @Muro needs to see this since he is a purple dragon like Spyro and Cynder.

I already have the Spyro World Viewer installed, so I don't need it, but thank you for the thought. ^^ Thanks.
Thank you

Heya, outline for Toasty is kinda done! I've had some issues but hopefully it won't end up too inaccurate.
I'm streaming now, so check it out.
Nice, more streams to watch and something cool as the content. I'm in.
