Hi All, Need some help with a new XBox. I bought my son an XBox One S Forza 3 edition for Xmas, as well as the MineCraft Disc (of course!).
The console had trial membership of XBox Gold included, which we activated. All was working fine and my son and other family members played multiplayer MineCraft together for a few weeks.
Last weeken he invited a friend over to play the game with him, but when he fired up the XBox he got a message saying his Gold trial was over and inviting him to pay for membership. We don't need that right now so passed it over. But he then discovered he could no longer access the multiplayer mode on the console - to the great disappointment of his little visitor!
Can anyone give us a solution that doesn't involve having to buy Gold Membership? It seems too much when we've bought the disc already!

Thanks!
You should be able to play local splitscreen with multiple players without gold. That is what we do all the time and we don't have a gold membership.
OK Thanks - must be finger trouble.....
Did you get this figured out?
