I tamed about 8 parrots and then when I was crossing water, not in a boat but I have depth strider, I got a good distance away and instead of teleporting they just disappeared. No death message. I went and tamed 3 more partots and sat them down so I could go find more, found 1and tamed it, went back to where my parrots should have been to only find 1 still there. Please fix the disappearing parrots.
My son and I tamed a parrot as soon as we found them. Made them sit in a village and cleared out a mob spawner. Returned to village and they were gone.
I had 4 parrots and lost two. The two that went missing were sitting in a safe (sheltered) corner of my fenced-in back yard. I was fighting a skeleton right outside the fence when I saw the red parrot flying out of the corner of my eye. When the fight was over, the red parrot and the white parrot had gone missing. Could they have been killed by an arrow?
The other two parrots, both blue, were sitting elsewhere in my compound and are still there.
EDIT: I just noticed that this thread is in the XBox One forum (I had simply searched for "parrots" to see if other players had disappearing birds). I play on the PC, so I shouldn't have replied here.
I'm also losing parrots. I glide somewhere on the elytra, as I love to do, but if I go too far from my parrots, then not only do they not teleport to me, but they just disappear. Not die, but they're just... gone. Btw, using Xbox 360. Plz fix this problem. The wolves teleport from any distance, so why not the parrots?
However, on a more positive note, I just LOVE the setup for the newest tutorial world.
I have lost my parrot, It was at night when me and my parrot had lost our home, we didn't have food or anything so I decided to go to creative mode and build a new house. When half of it was finished I was done with the game for the night so I got off, keep in mind that when I got off the game for the day I was in mid air (standing still) with my parrot toodles on my shoulder, the next morning I get on he's no where to be seen, not on my shoulder no where near me in the hair, so I get on the ground and see if he fell, nope. I'm looking everywhere when I look I drown, when I drown it didn't show ( parrot drowned) or anything like that on the screen. In pretty sure he's not dead because there's no way he was physically hurt since he was no where near me. Please help me find my Toodles
not the same topic but i havent seen anyone else with this glitch and so id put it here. a parrot naturally spawned without a skin and despite exiting and reentering the game and going mining for a couple hours nothing has changed and it is the only mob to have done so

Had the same issue.

Also do not see cats or bears in Biomes.

The same earth, the same air, the same sky.
You have to nametag them or they despawn. 4j still hasn't fixed this.
