I imagine this might eventually come but I wouldn't look for it anytime soon. Unfortunately the console space doesn't seem to be as well served in this regard so if you really want that option you probably need to get the PC version.
I'd really love to have dedicated server option... heck I'd even pay $1-2 a month so my kids could join my world without me being logged in to my other xbox.

thats a whole other subject, but i agree. Unfortunately if it came out it would be in the 10-15$ a month range like its PC version "Realms"
Alas, I am hoping for servers to come up for XB1 sometime soon. I would be willing to pay some amount. Hopefully not too much, but it keeps me and my friends from multiplayer, as our timing rarely works out to be able to play at the same time, so we stay on our own worlds.
Xbox One does have a manage game option built in without launching it you should be able to save locally now as far as saving it to a flash drive or external that's a different story and I don't think there's a way of taking it and putting it on pc and visa versa.

I would love that myself. Persistant servers would be a nice touch and I'd pay for one myself as well just to have the ability to go to the worlds I've saved content on with friends without them being online if they so chose to allow it to be accessed from the native cloud interface they already have setup on the Xbox One.
forgot community, i need the ability to hard save so i can get my worlds out of the cloud and on my jump drive where they are safe.

$15/mo/server? Isn't that a bit...steep?
I'd say so, but thousands pay mc realms 13$ a month now for the PC version.

it would be nice to play another game from time to time... and still allow users to get to the world.
