A few months ago, Xbox 360 edition had an update. In it, a few things were added, including parrots, llamas, and illagers. Vindicators were among these, and I found out a few days ago that you can name a Vindicator "Johnny" and it goes insane and attacks any nearby mobs (excluding other illagers, but they still attack Vexes). So I tried it out by naming a Vindicator "Johnny" and spawning random mobs in. Johnny, of course, chased the mob with an iron axe and killed it.
I also put an evoker (another illager) with Johnny and he completely ignored the evoker.
According to the Minecraft Wiki, this was a reference to "The Shining", because Vindicators already looked pretty insane and they already have an axe, and making them go into "hostile mode" would be a good way to make a reference.

So.. Here was just a little Easter Egg I found with the recent update. Kinda had fun with this.
