Had a very nice slime farm with 6 spawning platforms, killing chamber, etc, filling the bottom 40 levels of the chunk. Took a long time to build, especially the lower 10 levels where i had to clear out a ton of lava. It was my first project on this kind of scale, and was done mostly with iron picks, so the digging alone took forever. But it was highly successful, producing slime much faster than i could use it, and i now have more than i could probably ever use. I still visited it regularly just for the joy of seeing a fairly large scale project working so well. On approach i could hear slimes jumping around, and never had to wait more than a few seconds to see more falling into the killing area.
Then i updated to tu35. Now it's rather sad to visit, and I've stopped going. Big effort, completed over multiple playing sessions, and even looks nice, but now completely empty and silent. Slimes no longer spawn there. Well, i did have a single tiny slime spawn in the item collection area at bedrock on my last visit, where they shouldn't have been able to spawn at all. And actually, now i really think about it, i think that solitary tiny slime is the only one I've seen since updating. I have a fairly sizeable mine surrounding that area that spans many chunks, and slimes are not spawning anywhere. It's kind of soured me on building bigger projects, in case they break in the next update
I'm having the same issue. In my Xbox One world I have a triple-slime chunk that used to pump out hundreds of slime balls an hour. The last time I went to check I had been playing for about an hour and only got 2 slime balls.
In my 360 world that I just recently started, I just looked up a slime chunk on Chunkbase and cleared out enough room for slimes to spawn so that I can go in there and kill a few by hand to get some slime. Nothing has spawned at all. In fact I haven't ever seen a slime in this world at all. All I need is a couple of slime balls for some sticky pistons for a project I want to do.
We can't seem to win with slime spawning lately. In one update the slime spawning was slow, in the next update the slime spawning was over the top, and now the slime spawning is non-existent.
Hopefully someone has put it in the bug tracker for 4J to take a look at. 4JSteve is in these forums quite often, so hopefully he will see this and listen to our cries for help!
If you can, log in to the Mojang bug tracker and put in a comment on issue MCCE-2007 and vote it up. Hopefully they will get this fixed in the next release.

It's not just slimes. All hostile mobs in the overworld are spawning very slowly since tu35. The end and nether don't seem to be effected though.

This has indeed been fixed in tu36. My farm is once again producing slimes on a fairly consistent basis.
Was it just slimes that TU35 broke? Because I heard sporadic reports of other mobs having low spawn rates.
Anyway.. now that that's all in the past I guess I can update now. Betcha I hold the record for tolerating the TU34 Sprint controls the longest.
