I know it's purely speculation and the next content-heavy update is likely a year or more away, but I'm just curious what everyone's opinions are.
Do you think Banners will come to console-edition Minecraft, or do you think they might remain an un-added feature, like how most people see Command Blocks in Console Edition?
Personally, I see why they could be difficult to craft with Console-style Crafting, but I wouldn't mind having to switch to Classic Crafting to make banners. They were what I looked forward to most about 1.8, besides new biomes & slime blocks.
Or...maybe one of the good folks from 4j wants to let us know their secret plans for future updates
Banners are probably the only thing i really want. I make a lot of asian builds and this would definitely allow for more authentic builds [even though I do use the 2 'banners' from Skyrim]
Or even just give us plain-color banners to start. It would be better than nothing.
For me, and maybe this is kind of weird, but the reason I mostly like banners is because they sway in the wind. It just makes the whole map feel more realistic and immersive to see something being effected by the game's weather (even if there's no actual "windy weather")
I voted "Yes, in the next content update" because the alternative would be, they skip banners and go straight to giving us either servers, command blocks, or 1.9 content. And I think Banners are more likely than all of those, unless they made a "1.9 Lite" update like they did with the first 1.8 update on Console (where we got Acacia Wood but not Acacia Saplings, etc.)
Commands were added already! In a specialised UI under Host Privileges.
Well, sure, but that hardly counts. Can't do important things like summon a lightning bolt to create Super Charged Creepers, or summon Elder Guardians, etc

Probably in the next content update.
They added the Book and Quill in TU25 anyways.
True, and the USB Keyboard support makes me wish they'd add Command Blocks, or at least regular Commands like you can use in the chat window on PC.

like how they did the fireworks?
They actually are confirmed for the next major update
