I cleared out 2 slime chunks at Y12 and lit a lot of areas around the place, and no slime appear to spawn (I'm trying from one hour). Neither do they spawn in swamps. I used chunkbase to get the chunks. And I also afk 30-25 blocks away from the chunks.
I want to ask if slime spawning is changed or if this is a bug? Any responses would be highly appreciated
Thanks!

Chunkbase has been wrong with me before... most commonly if the seed is a negative one (i.e. has a minus sign in front of it). It seems like the formula Chunkbase uses has got an error in it... that seems to flip the map sort of like a mirror image of itself. If you shoot for chunks where the X and Z coordinates are the same integers, it seems to work just fine. Otherwise, I always test the chunk first in a superflat rendition of the seed by fencing the chunks I think I want to use and making sure I see slime spawn inside my fences before I start digging in my survival world.
Well, if you are talking about full moons, you are right, but im just talking about NEW moons, they dont spawn. and slimes should be spawning according too the minecraft combat handbook. ur doing everything right i dont know whats up

My slime farm works great. Nothing has really changed since the update. The only thing I can think of is for you to double check to make sure you are on an actual slime chunk. Try another chunk finder and see if it says the same thing.
I know you said it, but really make sure you light up all surrounding caves. "Some" caves is not enough. You want to light up all caves. The more you light up, the better the spawn rate. It's a lot of work.
The best way to check Chunk base (which has been accurate for me on the chunks I've tried for my current seed) is to start a super-flat world using your seed. Slime chunks will be the same in super-flat and you'll be able to isolate them better.

Any huge project like rboxman suggested should be tried in creative first if you know you are going to be pissed when it doesn't work. Chunk base led me astray on my newest tu31 seed but thankfully slimes were spawning in the next chunk over and moving the farm wasn't a huge deal. If you know you are in a slime chunk... I have had success getting them to spawn by riding a fast minecart 150 or 200 blocks away staying there for a five or so min then riding the cart back down to the farm. They often are there waiting when I get there. No matter what a website says you can't really be sure you are in a slime chunk until you see one spawn. Soo maybe start at the bottom next time you dig out a slime farm. Also they need to hurry up with all the bug fixes.
I like making slime farms in areas where I have found slimes spawn in caves or while mining. Typically under arrears I spend a lot of time like at a base village or farms so slimes will spawn and I can just check it occasionally. Here is a slime farm I like making.

If testing a superflat for slime spawning, I believe you have to flip it into survival now to get them to spawn. I think 4J basically disabled slimes spawning in superflat worlds in creative mode (a number of people requested it).. At least the last time I tried it (just before TU31), I didn't get any spawning until I flipped into survival mode. Not sure whether regular worlds are affected the same way as superflats.
As for Chunkbase being out on whether some chunks are slime chunks or not... I think it's Chunkbase that needs to fix their algorithms. It's not 4J's responsibility to match Chunkbase... It's Chunkbase's responsibility to adapt to differences between the consoles and PC to match their app to 4J.

You shouldn't have to do that, you just need to not be on Peaceful. Switch to 'Hard' to up the spawn rates for everything; nothing will attack you even if you attack first so don't worry about that.

Wasn't worried about them attacking and wasn't on peaceful... was in creative easy mode and no slimes seemed to spawn until I switched over to survival easy... then I was able to identify the slime chunks within my fenced off chunks easily. I assumed that 4J may have changed it in response to people who were tired of slimes spawning so avidly in creative superflat worlds. I'll check it out again though just to be sure though.

I fully agree that 4j has nothing to do with chunkbase, and that it is not 4j's fault whether or not slimes are spawning where chunkbase said they would. I personally have a successful slime farm and am not complaining about the lack of spawns other people are experiencing. But there are undoubtedly many bugs that need fixing , including as admitted in 4j's tu32 change log, slime spawns.

I'm sure they meant re-balancing the cap limits and spawn rates for slimes...not changing what chunks slimes spawn in underground. The rates probably got lowered when they adjusted slime spawns to appease people who were annoyed with how many spawn during daylight in superflat worlds.
It's just a general principle of playing Minecraft on the Xbox... if you want to encourage a particular type of mob to achieve the highest possible rate of spawning in a farm environment, you have to make sure that 1) no other type of mob that shares a mob cap limit with your mob can spawn within the 128 block radius of the farm; 2) the same mob cannot spawn within that 128 block radius outside your farm; and 3) you kill the mobs spawning within your farm as quickly as possible.
Another Xbox 360 reality is that, if you're playing multiplayer, you have to expand the "control" area to include 128 blocks around every player since the mob cap limits are global. On the PC, all they have to concern themselves with is the "loaded" area around each player.
So, in the case of slimes... lighting up caves isn't good enough and can actually make matters worse. If you have a lot of slimes spawning outside your farm, you won't have any spawning inside your farm. Yeah, it's more difficult to get a working slime farm on the console... so, we have effectively an area of the game is just a higher level of difficulty... not a bad thing when one is talking about a game.
There is a real tendency for Xbox 360 players to cry "bug" the moment something doesn't work exactly the same way it does on PC... but the reality is that the Xbox 360 Edition of Minecraft has always been different than the PC Edition (and since the Console Edition grew out of the Xbox 360 Edition, it shares those differences). Console Edition players really need to stop just trying to copy the PC and instead concentrate on adapting some of their thinking about how Minecraft works to match the console realities and creating some original console designs.
I wasn't suggesting that the fix to slime spawns would change what chunk that they spawn in, only that there is an issue with the spawns that has been acknowledged by 4J . I feel like by the look the responses to my comments , that they are somehow being received as confrontational. They are not.

I feel the same. My responses are not meant to be confrontational either. I was just saying that the issue with slime spawning that 4J is most likely addressing is the ongoing process of balancing the cap limits and the spawn rates to work best on the various consoles with whatever new situations the updates introduce. I just expect those sorts of adjustments with every update that changes anything; and I just don't really consider that constant rebalancing a bug.
This time round, there were also people on the bug tracker reporting about slimes not spawning at all in swamps during moon phases when they should have been... and that may be the actual bug they fixed. Personally, I do my slime hunting underground, so I honestly can't say that I've noticed whether or not they are in proper sync with the moon.
At any rate, I thought this discussion was pretty much focused on slimes not spawning in chunks as indicated by Chunkbase and why that might be. I have noticed Chunkbase being wrong before this update though... way back when the Mass Effect Mashup Pack was introduced... because it was the Mass Effect world where I dug out a slime chunk near the edge of the world where I could clearly see that it was Chunkbase in error. I posted about it here on the forums, but most people just said Chunkbase had never failed them. When it happened again a few updates after that, I posted again and got much the same response... Chunkbase had never failed them. I actually feel vindicated by your earlier post indicating that Chunkbase has also led you astray. I just wonder if Chunkbase is ever going to correct their app.
Hope you peeps are having a wonderful day!

well slimes dont spawn on a new moons (in swamp)
1. I knew about that.
2. I don't have a bug swamp.
3. I was talking about slime chunks.
4. They do spawn in swamps in full moon.
Thanks.

FYI there was something wrong enough that 4J has queued up a fix for the following slime related issue: https://bugs.mojang.com/browse/MCCE-962
