So far I like the update. Maps do seem fuller from what I have seen so far on random seeds which I like. The new look from the biomes seems pleasant as well.
One thing I noticed, was villages seem smaller [again from my random seeds]. This again is what I personally like. New villager trades with multiple initial options is quite pleasing.
Course there are a couple things I am not enjoying, such as the display hand when looking at maps [bug?]. If it is indeed a bug, then will be better when fixed. If it is now needed, I am not liking that at all.

Do you mean that the map is not all that is visible when you hold it? Like Steve's hand is shown holding the map on the screen too? Is there any change to the HUD? I really wish your quick access inventory didn't interfere with viewing the map. Having to wait a few seconds for it go opaque even is annoyance if you need a quick look at it.

I guess you guys have not noticed NOTHING will generate over Y 106. I posted this in the bug thread. There are no more mountains and mesa plateau m looks like a small hill. I like to build in mountainous terrain so i do not know what to do.
I didn't get much of a chance to look at all the new stuff before I left for work this morning. I updated my Xbox1 and 360. I only had a chance to jump on Xbox1 before I left, I'm sure the 360 will look and work just as well. Loved the looks of the new tress, tall grass and all the flowers so far. Didn't see any bunnies yet but did get some wool and mutton thanks to a pack of wolves attacking a bunch of sheep right when I got into the world.

i noticed the same thing. i havent ran into anything i can call "extreme"...just medium size hills/mountains...
Just curious to anyone who's tried, but are Endermen aggressive to Endermites? They should be, but when I put one in a Minecart, none of them seemed to care at all, they just walked around as per normal. Due to this, I'm kinda stuck with a broken Endermen farm.
I have yet to see bunnies and I've spent over 3 hours in a savannah biome. Perhaps the spawn rate is a bug.
As for the whole thoughts and discussion, I love the new flowers and fishing mechanics. I had been waiting for the fishing update for some time.
I do find it a bit odd that hostile mobs do not spawn in roofed forests, simply because the biomes are not big enough. I am beginning to see
why this update took a year to complete. Plus mcwiiu of course.
The few problems I have is that almost every map is mostly water. Then ocean monuments are few and far between. So the whole 360 seed lot is
a bit problematic for the moment. At least I found a decent seed. A bonus to all that water is that sailing is fun and it gives a survival island feel.
The very first seed I generated made me feel like wrapping a white t-shirt around my head and climbing up a nearby mountain to shout "hello!".
I am really satisfied with the update though. There are so many things I had been waiting for. Slime blocks, flowers, fishing, biomes (despite the lack
of variety), and one that I didn't think would impact me at all but did was the new blocks like granite andesite and diorite, it felt fresh to mine again
which is more than welcome. I know it will wear off in time but for now, I'm filling double chests to the brim with each one.

I have seen rabbits in regular forests and monuments have been fairly plentiful for me [even saw a couple with 2].
The look of he worlds is extremely pleasing for me, I dont mind extreme hills anymore and desert and jungle biomes have been few for me [which i dislike both]. I REALLY enjoy walking through a large dark wood forest, it has a creepy factor reminiscent of fantasy movie forests
I have seen quite a lot of rabbits in the first random world I created wherever there was snow. Though I am not playing that one now. I have seen rabbits in other types or terrain but not at the quantities in tundra type terrains. Though I haven't really been looking for them since I'm just now getting ready to start brewing.
While im only a 6 month veteran of the game, I too like the update. I really like the changes in fishing (even caught an enchanted book and a tripwire) and am excited to see the changes in enchanting. I haven't really done anything with the new ores. I'm learning from past mistakes and getting enchanting and brewing capabilities earlier than I did before.
Overall very nice pluses and so far me no cons. Though again I haven't enchanted or brewed yet. Actually just got my blaze rod and 10 soul sand blocks to start making nether wart.

I'm still looking for rabbits, played for a good 6 hours and did not find any. Perhaps the grass is hiding them. I haven't found any large roofed forest
biomes as of yet and I've looked through numerous seeds. Though they do have a bit of spook to them. I feel like webs would be a great edition to
enhance the creep factor.

Map doesnt show at all if the display hand is unchecked, tried resetting and whatnot, only shows when I check the option.

When you first hold the map, you have to left trigger(?) it to activate it.

Villages are not smaller. I have made a few random seeds and some of them were huge especially when they were on a savanna biome.
I don't understand why you're bothered by the hand ( BUG ) because it doesn't affect the game at all.

Well...mushroom islands are now purple on the map, and being able to grab each mushroom block type is mighty useful for Creative.
Stay fluffy~
