Big trouble with leads last night. I keep both my horse and donkey tied with leads in addition to locked in the barn (after losing Donkeyiote, I take no chances), but twice last night I came back from an adventure and the leads were broken and floating on the floor. This would be a disaster if they were not also in the barn.
I know this isn't the first time we've complained about leads. Not sure why this persists.
i have 50 doors inside the 12x12 square and 4 solid blocks high wall and a glass block covering the roof.
Sounds like you do not have opaque blocks for your roof... glass blocks are considered 'transparent' (as are slabs, stairs, leaf, glowstone, tnt, etc.).
hey GregNelson, i changed the area buildings for my villagers and it has now a solid block above it, and the doors are also on top roof, since they are making so much anoying noise closing and opening doors, and for some reason they took long days to breed another villagers for like 4 days now and i have 5 villagers now.perhaps ima wait for a little more longer to have them breed.
Hello 4Jsteve there two bugs that have been in the game for the longest. Its " REDSTONE LOCK " and " SPAWN CHUNCKS " redstone lock is effecting my redstone builds and spawn chucks are not active chunks. For example if i leave blocks there for 5 min in the spawn chunks and leave. When coming back the blocks disappear. The spawn chucks are suppose to be always loaded like in pc. This effects players of creating iron golem farms. Please fix both of these bugs.

Repair costs on tools have increased dramatically. Not sure if this is a bug but before the update I could repair a fortune III Unbreaking III pick axe when it was almost broken. Now I can't repair it when it is only 2/3rds damaged. Why? Increased repair costs were not included in the change logs so either 4J forgot to add that to the logs or it is a bug. And I know the cost went up because I specifically get silk touch and fortune paired up with Unbreaking 3 because I could not repair them if they had efficiency on them but I could with just the 2 enchants.
Is there any way to stop wolves from spawning inside pens? I've had my sheep collection killed twice now thanks to wolves spawning inside the pen and killing them all. At least I think that is what is happening. It's that or there is a bug related to sheep despawning. Since it has only happened twice now after many hours of play I am guessing it's the wolves.
Also, has the lighting levels at which hostile mobs can spawn at changed? I am finding mobs appearing in what I would have thought were well lit areas. I don't recall this being an issue before, thus curious if there were any adjustments made.
Lastly, I want to second the comments about the repair costs increasing. It's gotten to the point where anvils are useless due to the high cost of repair. When is the updated PC repair system going to be implemented in the console version? From what I read that sounds like a much better system. Hope that is coming soon!
Please check out this video. It goes over Redstone Lock and how it effects our redstone builds. Please 4j steve fix this. It been in the game for the longest.
Ever since the latest update, there have been several issues.
1. The game starts heavily lagging and glitching after 2-3 hours of play. If I save, exit, then go back in, it's fine. None of my other games are lagging or having problems. I uploaded the City texture pack and it didn't change anything.
2. No animals are spawning anywhere. My homestead area that I patrol covers approximately 300 x 200 blocks of a plain biome next to a jungle biome, and in that space I have 2 villagers, 6 dogs, 2 chickens, 2 sheep, 2 pigs, 2 cows, 2 horses, 1 donkey. Animals never spawn anywhere in my area, not even one. They used to before the update, I had cows, sheep, and chickens everywhere. They also are not spawning anywhere outside of my home turf either. I roam the map on horseback and there's literally nothing.
3. Yet monsters spawn like crazy at night, often in big batches of the same kind. For example, 6-10 zombies will spawn within the same 20x30 area, or 6-10 creepers. Big skeleton groups are hard to fight as they all blast you with arrows at the same time, knocking you back where you can't reach with a sword or stay steady long enough with a bow. The same goes for creepers when a bunch spawn at once, as it's not possible to kill all of them if they suddenly spawn next to you and blow everything up. I also noticed that Endermen have become extremely common. I see 4-6 of them every night in my home area, whereas before the update I only ever saw maybe 1-2 every 3-5 nights.
4. This is the biggest issue. The Nether is royally messed up. I tried to go into it yesterday for the first time since the update, and it majorly glitched like crazy. As soon as I went through the portal and appeared in the Nether, all of my dogs were with me (despite all sitting still in their kennel 30 blocks away when I went through) as well as 4-5 creepers, 4-5 skeletons, and 4-5 zombies. It was an insane explosion of dogs barking and attacking mobs, zombies and skeletons attacking and shooting me with arrows glitching and getting stuck in the air, and creepers blowing everything up along with ghasts blasting the whole scene -- including the portal. I'm glad I always save my game before going through or I would have been stuck there or killed. I reloaded my save, then went through again, and the same thing happened. Total chaos that shouldn't be there. I did it 2 more times, including trying my other portal 200+ blocks away as well as exiting the game first, and it still does it. I also switched back to the original texture from the City texture, but it didn't make any difference. Still chaos when I went through.
I took a video of the whole Nether glitch and posted it to my Facebook group. The link should work as the group and post are public:

theyre working on the animal spawn rate.
mobs are supposed to spawn in groups of the same mob, however they're not supposed to spawn near you, so unless you're exaggerating then this is indeed a glitch
sounds fun I've neve experienced that

As long as he doesn't decapitate us, we'll be safe...
Definitely not exaggerating. After killing all the mobs in my home area, they start respawning and skeletons/creepers almost always spawn right in front of or right behind me.

Yeah well that must be a glitch then because hostile mobs are supposed to spawn 20-32 block away
On a side note, does 4J have any plans on adding the smooth stone/sandstone double slabs or written books?
New issue. I cannot get animals (sheep, cows, pigs and chickens) to follow me through double doors when they are open. I have to remove the doors in order for them to pass through.
By "follow", I mean that I am luring them using the appropriate food item to get them to follow me. I've also noticed that it seems harder to catch an animal's attention, especially if I switch off the food item and then back on to it. Used to be an instant re-interest in the item, but now I have to wait a period of time before it will latch on again. By design? Or bug?
i didnt realize that i accidentally i posted in a private thread[ i apologize to whoever it belonged to]
um anyway i downloaded the latest update in march and it showed an error that i had some corrupted stuff but i didnt have any other dlc except my digital copy of minecraft.
i opened my 3d art map up and i ended up under water and everything got turned into a massive biome
there is art on there since 2013 and would like to get it back.
i have tried erasing the update and clearing my cache like some suggested on here and it doesnt work. i hope it can get fixed

My crops have torches all around them. I've only got wheat and carrots growing, it seems as though the ones I plant while mob spawning is off still grow, but if I plant crops and then turn mob spawning off they stop growing. I waited 5 days and my crops didn't grow a single bit, until I turned mob spawning back on.

I use redstone mechanics to harvest pumpkins, sugarcane, and wheat...
But I only get leaderboard points for pumpkins.

Any thoughts?
Just a few bugs that I figured out. I'm not sure if they're bugs or if they're weren't in this version on the PC. Ill check the wiki.
sandstone halfslab has wrong texture. (I've seen a different one than the one in the game so idk)
Sanstone stairs have wrong texture
In the PC version you can repair armor in your crafting window, without the use of an anvil. This would really save me a lot of levels.
They're working on the lag issue, like you said saving and exiting works.
