I tried duping my house, but I had the scale wrong, so I stopped. It would have to be huge. Normally 1 block = about 3 feet. In order to make the walls right, 1 block should equal about 6 inches. Probably would look weird cause it would tower over trees, etc.

Nothing wrong with the idea though!
Yeah I'm really interested in doing this! I'm trying to think of more ways to have fun with the game. Sounds like a good project.
I've been interested in doing this. Is that a cool or a dumb idea? Seems fun!
Thanks

As Geneo notes, there are scale issues. Generally, i found a balance between scale accuracy and general shape approximation.
So I'd estimate room sizes such that all the rooms in the house fit into the outline shape of the house, and fudge some room sizes to make it work.
To start, I'd outline one room on the ground, then the next, and so on. I'd have to redraw some lines as I corrected the shape of rooms.
It's also a useful project as it gives some architectural ideas on how to build your own structures that look 'real'
Thanks!
Same, but my house IRL is huge... It can be done, this IS Minecraft after all
