just confirmed - no upside down slabs or stairs (but they will waste time on the End and item frames) pardon me for being completely! underwhelmed - whoop-de-cockadoodle-do....
At least we get spawn eggs so we can build real villages instead of these half generated/half-buried jokes we see now....
Does it not look like different color birch wood blocks in the pic of the dispenser? I swear it is 3 blocks of birch wood under it. You can see the different colors plain as day and its not because of the water or else all the wood would look that way....

actually I would have to say water indirectly... Shadows cause things to look darker. And since that is on the lower portion of the block wall it is safe to say that it is just shadowed by the water. Besides the planks would be a bit darker than that... If they did add that stuff in, it is not in the pics unfortunately. ><

My First World, always getting back to is a pleasure I enjoy with each new update that brings in more things to add in.
I really hope they don't keep the stack limit for spawn eggs at 16... That'll make it harder for map makers to build things like zombie survival maps.
I don't even know they will be makable in survival....O_o
I do know they will be in creative, and in that case a stack of 16 makes no sense. I thought that when put in a dispenser it will act like the water bucket and be infinite till it is turned off...hmm..

item frames huh... hmm... that is interesting, nice. something we could use. So far no signs of the upside down stuff... Which would be one thing I would hope for. Oh well... This is only the first set... yay for sandstone stairs...lol
Aye.... Just want some info on upside down stairs/slabs. I can yield my aesthetics by 10 fold. Lol Smoooth sandstone and stairs is nice too.

I thought about it and I realized that they probably made it 16 because of the spawn limit. That would help prevent people from spawning too many mobs at once.

I know - I can not see any logical reason for working on item frames before the more useful build elements. I'm guessing they're doing it in the order they are because items fraames are an easy lift. IF that is the case, I'd rather they just put off the whole damn TU until they can put in the upside down elements. Sheese!

Actually some have requested to be able to use item frames, so they wouldn't have to use so many signs... Usually for a storage room of some kind, that and they are quite useful for displaying things kinda like a picture. It i might say would be 1 of a few things that I actually don't mind having in the next update. I can only hope though that upside down stuff is put in the next major one...:D

I've been using blocks next to chests instead of signs. Item frames are probably a nicer version. Does this mean wall clocks and maps? Haven't played the PC version.
You know, it's possible doing upside down stairs is harder than you think... I'd definitely like my bridges to look better, number of times I've pictured my bridge then been reminded again that slabs just don't work that way...
Well, that's why I allowed the possibility that item frames were an "easy lift" . Still, I'm one of the ones that don't need an update every week to feel like 4J loves me, so I stand by my comment that I'd rather them push the update and do the heavy lifting.

That's quite irrelevant. Maybe for survival, but what would stop someone from spawning as much as they want in creative? Other than a proper spawn limit of course.

Not directly, no. Mainly this works on bigger builds, but fences at least help in the process for wooden edged bridges. It is all about illusion mainly when you look at it.
About the clock thing, yes it is in the pc. I can only hope it is the same for xbox, which would make more use out of those specific items.:D

Anyone know when we'll be able to play on a friends world while they're offline? I play with 4 friends and we all don't want to have to swap between 3 or 4 worlds just because a different person is offline each time. Kind of a dealbreaker! Only reason i'm not playing it right now, and I'm not gonna recommend this games to my friends until we'll actually all be able to play together nicely.

What difference does it make? When you place an egg in creative the number won't go down as it's infinite.

That's what I was saying. His theory is that they only gave us 16 to kind of support a spawn limit. I said that it would not stop someone from spawning more in creative. Other than the spawn limit.
Yeah, I think the frames will come in handy for portraying things for what chest contains. Still dissapointed yet not to bad. Had a idea come across of using the frame+paper= toilet roll look for my modern house bathrooms. Lol What other good things shall come with the update I wonder.

You can build your own village, or expand existing ones, and toss villager spawn eggs into the houses to fill them out.

Not a map marker. That X shows when another player is in "The End"
