So, the Chinese mythology mashup is available for purchase on XBL, bit it's not available for sale on PSN, but the demo for the mashuo is available on PSN. Any reason why it's not available for purchase on PSN?

They did a really good job with the Banner Crafting interface, much better than they did with Fireworks (which weren't bad, but definitely not this good).

I've been dodging it because my internet speed is so slow right now. Looks like a good thing. Sheesh. What's this new update supposed to be about anyway?

A map and skin pack or something; a bug fix or two, maybe. Nothing interesting.
And there's been an update that supposedly fixed chests. I didn't check to see if my ice issue is still a thing, but considering that the change log has a total of one item, I'm gonna assume it's still there.
Oh my dear lord. The motherlode. (I'm the only Minecraft player who has no interest in Command blocks, I guess). I only found out about End Cities a little while ago, but I've been hungry for them ever since. This will be HUGE. Finally, a reason to return to the End! I guess it's too much to hope for the Woodland Mansion at the same time. I don't want to get greedy!
My guess is that the End is expanded from Nether-sized to overworld-sized (maybe more, but let's not get frisky here) and the city(ies) will be near the edges.
Stuff like this makes me wonder how much time is put into the textures/map/music as opposed to the updates.
Hmm, either way, another pack that I won't buy because I'll not get enough use out of it anymore, and I'm not a fan of the game to want my own world themed around it.

I don't think it's fair to expect every solitary employee at 4J to be working on the updates. They have seven artists, seven developers, and three business operators. That's seventeen people in total.
When it comes to the aspect of updates for the game, that responsibility rests squarely on the shoulders of the devs, not the artists. What would you rather the artists do? Sit around and do nothing? Or would you rather they put those artistic skills to good use?

I didn't to come off as disrespectful or impatient; I was simply wondering how much time goes into the worlds and packs as opposed to coding the game, not meaning to make it seem like all they do is make maps and textures.

We have a team of Artists (A lot more than 7) that deal with Worlds, promo art etc..
Aside from having to update art tools or adding new art tool functionality programming team is not affected in anyway.

Yeah, it's pretty odd to think that the people painting textures and building worlds are taking a break from coding the game. There'd be some cooperation and crossover I'd imagine but it's not the texture packs making the coding take ages, it's stuff like: it's on 5 platforms, making Battle Mode work, etc.
On the positive side, given this new update seems to cover most or maybe all of 1.9 and 1.10 (only dual wielding and little things like using blaze powder in potion stands are unconfirmed now I think) and, along with the 1.9 / 1.10 features we already have, I'm pretty sure this update represents the console game getting as close to PC update parity as it's ever been in its history.
The initial conversion of the code from Java to C++ takes quite a bit of time.
After that we then have to confirm that the base game itself hasn't been broken by these changes before optimizing all the new features that have been brought across.
Once that's been done the test teams can start hammering the build while the programming team continues to fix bugs/reported bugs.

Don't download the new update if you haven't yet.
Every chest causes the game to completely freeze when opened.
Stay fluffy~
Momentarily freeze or restart the xbox freeze?
Restart the system freeze.

The Nether has Magma Blocks now. What other blocks were you looking for?
Has the newest update fixed the chest issue?
Alternately, magma blocks can be crafted using four magma cream.
And I can only assume since that's what the update log said.
Stay fluffy~
Surprise!

Twenty bucks says still no Command Blocks.

Fantastic!
I'd assume that there's be an End reset button or the gateways would take players further than where they can currently render in the End.

Well, we've got a new mashup on the way. Minecraft: Fallout Edition.
This video is on Mojang's official YT channel and was posted today.
