Basically I'd buy a new xbox and get XBL and also minecraft. Then leave the game going 24/7 on 1 hour autosaves and checking on the game throughout the day. I'd put it on friends of friends so everyone adds me and then I accept then people can just add those people if they want to join. There would be little to no moderation at all, I just want to see what would become of the map and the people and their creations. I'd come on temporarily maybe once of twice a day to make sure I didn't freeze or disconnect.
Umm well i though it was a good idea its just if creating a server would have to create servers using the pc and only be played on the xbox 360 witch would make alot of money. But why are you teaming on one person on his ideas you don't have to tell him his ideas aren't reasonable . You two like it when i your ideas are idiotic and you two s leave him alone. He's don't need randoms in the forums to tell him his ideas are terrable, its just a yes or no question. What i think is you two are scared of change.BTW srghg its a good idea its just how it will be possiable and im pretty sure they will think about it and by my understanding i believe its just going to be like a whitelist servers it will get 85% of the greifers. Over all its not bad idea *-Liked page-*
That a LOT of money to shell out just for an experiment to see what would happen to one MC world in particular where friends of friends is selected, with multiple players that you don't know allowing their friends to join.
You will probably get the greater majority of initial players be players that actually want to participate in playing in a cooperative environment... then things are invariably going to turn south very quickly... I would expect 90% of the world blown up and largely covered in lava in only a few months.

I'd just like to point out that Geneo has been a member of these forums since July 22, 2011 and has to date made 1726 posts... I'd hardly call him a 'Random'.
The problem with this type of setup, however noble the intention is, is that 2% of the people visiting this server world WILL screw it up for the remaining 98% of the players who play on it. There are no really good anti-griefing tools for Server Moderators for the console platform (yet).
Sorry, but this is an invitation for people to ruin it.
It'd start out fine for a while and then would be empty soon enough.
Waste of time and money at both your and others' expense.
Well that's kind of the point, to see if people only grief or if some people band together and kill all griefers. I'm sure there'd be tons of hidden houses and chests all over the map, alliances would be formed and broken.
Well... if what you want is Griefer vs. Griefer, and Griefer Clan vs. Griefer Clan, then you will probably get just that. But I think that Most people would just get tired of the Griefers or tired of constantly getting caught in the crossfire, and will opt to just abandon the game outright. Thus making it more of a PvP Griefer Playground.
If the goal of the server is to survive against other players... then I think a year is a bit long to run this type of game.
I have been doing this for a while since I actually had a spare xbox and a family xbox live account ( I know the family thing will expire soon), I've the server run in both creative and survival modes, fully open and with friends of friends allowed... no one ever showed up hahaha the only creations ever on there were mine so I stopped...
If any one would be interested in coming on to check it out send me a PM on here or add my GT Jsolid110srvr and leave me a emssage about this topic on there or you will get rejected...
The extra GT is good for another 6 months or so so there is plenty of time to come and check it out
This is so wrong- on so many levels.

As to this:
