I can't find music disc 11 and I'm new to the game and the forums. I looked on the shroom island and it wasn't there. In tutorial mode. Tu11
Unfortuantely, if you loaded your world in Peaceful before you explored the mushroom island that particular chest does not generate. This was intentionally coded that way by 4J to encourage people to stay in Easy or higher diffuculty levels until at least exploring some terrain outside of the immediate tutorial area.

Dammit that is so lame. I play it on normal. It may have started on peaceful. So ed

Back when the chests were first hidden in any tutorial, the stipulation that a person had to stay within the tutorial mode was revealed by 4J. You can see several references to it on many of the hidden chest videos made for those first and second times the chests were put into the tutorial. I'm not sure if any of the people doing vides for this last round of hidden chests bothered to mention it or not... They may have assumed that it was just known by everyone by now.
However, the tutorial never starts/creates itself on peaceful. If you've last saved a world in peaceful and then you start a tutorial, the setting defaults to easy. However, after the tutorial itself has been completed and you save the world, it may reload on a setting you've just used for another world just before reloading the tutorial one. It really pays to carefully read what the load screen is saying each time before you load a world to make sure that you don't load it in a difficulty level you don't actually intend to load it in.
You can still acquired "11" by getting a skeleton to kill a creeper. I have obtained all 12 music discs/records by having skeletons kill creepers, so they are all available in any world that way.

I just got the game recently. I started a new tutorial and went straight to the shroom island it's still not there. I'm not sure what I did wrong. Do I need to stay in the beginning of the tutorial longer. Actually do the tutorial with the advice and all that on?

I don't know what you might be doing wrong then. I just generated a new tutorial world myself last week for a friend and the mushroom island chest generated perfectly. We played through the original tutorial and then left the area when it said we could and ran right to the mushroom island. We then worked our way around to gather several of the other discs (basically filling out most of the remainder of the map) before returning to the miner's shack we had built before saving and exiting the game.
Ok ill try playing the tutorial through then. Thanks.
In the last 10 minutes, I just tested it: Created a new tutorial, pressed B to short-circuit the tutorial, ate my steak, and sprinted over to the mushroom island. The chest was there; however, you should be aware that the music disc in that particular chest is not "11"... It's "where are we now." I think now it is most likely that it is a different chest that you haven't found yet in your oriiginal tutorial world.
I found it. I think my son played on peaceful and when I loaded my tutorial again it loaded on peaceful after I found 10 disc.
Glad you worked it out. Way back when i did report that the tutorial was reloading on whatever a previous world had been played on. At that time, it wasn't even displaying an option to change it at all so it was almost impossible not to get messed up if you have to save and leave the tutorial world in the middle of finding the chests. Now at least if a person does read the load screen carefully, the issue can be spotted before the damage is done. I can certainly live with it the way it is; but sometimes I do think it woud be nice if each world aways defaulted to the setting it was created with rather than shifting difficulties to whatever the previous different world was loaded in.
