I usually never bother with fish, but fish-only no-grinding makes a good survival challenge. You have to kill a spider before you can eat, and you can't keep fish in your inventory unless you're about to cook.eat it.
I used to fish a lot, but I've stopped once villages were added. I'm going to start finishing again because I'm tired of bread and I have a hard time killing passive mobs.
I made a 2x2 fishing hole in my house, so I can fish whenever in the safety of my house. Just started fishing the other day, I'll probably catch a few before going to bed at night. My son didn't think my fishing hole would work, showed him.
Do you even patato?Maybe we can get a fish mob.
Fish tank block that will join with others next to it like fences.
You can put raw fish into the tank for a pet fish.
Sharks and mantis shrimp would be cool aswell.
MANTIS SHRIMP!!

I put my shirt on one leg at a time, just like everybody else.
I can't stand fishing most of the time. I tend to get myself a large supply of food quickly so I can move on with mining/building and fishing just takes too long to get a lot in a reasonable amount of time.

But it would be cool if there were different types of fish.
Or maybe even a pet fish lol

I don't think so, fishing would practically remain the same except for the sole disadvantage that fish would take more inventory space.
