Hello everyone, I have a question. Now im a person that likes to play survival and I run into a problem when it comes to sleeping in my bed. I usually build a medium sized house after I gather enough materials. When I finish building and have the interior all fixed (by this time it is dark) I try sleeping in the bed. but instead of letting me sleep and move to the next day I get a message saying "you cannot sleep with monsters around" even though I have a secure, closed in house it still gives me the message and doesn't allow me to move on. Can anyone help me or tell me im doing something wrong. I will greatly appreciate it

I never forget a face, but in your case i'll make an exception.
As stated above, the game will not let you sleep if there are monsters within 8 blocks of the bed (per the Wiki), regardless of whether or not they are outside walls. The easiest way to avoid getting this message is to locate your bed in the centre of your base and put in on a second or even third floor. Of course, this is usually not very doable usually on the first night in survival mode. In a pinch, you can elevate your bed quckly by just leaving the roof off your house and creating a small temporary platform for your bed.
