So everytime I hide my chests, no matter where they are, he still finds them. Is there a glitch or something that makes it where you can find hidden chests or something? No he's not following me or invisable. IDK how he keeps doing it, but I want to know.
Well there is one thing where you can use pistons to push TNT blocks into you and that lets you see through the ground, but your chest really wouldn't be distinguishable from all the other blocks unless you always hide them in a certain area.
You could just not be hiding them well. My valuables chest is about 20 blocks below the surface and behind a large maze and locked behind a piston door with a concealed handle and many dummy handles in the immediate area. I even linked some of those up to random pistons so anyone trying to open my chest would get excited and then be dissapointed when they know they fail, also some of those levers open lava, tnt, and various other traps. Only I know the exact way through the maze and only I know the correct lever.
Im not saying you should go all out like that, I only did that because I have no life and was bored.
Why not try hiding them some distance away, or even deep deep underground. And if that doesn't work just destroy all his stuff and steal HIS treasure.
I think you are probably just not hiding it in good places. I like to keep my chests hidden underneath my house but I haven't played with others in a while so I'm not sure how good of a hiding spot that is, haha. Where have you kept it so far?
Maybe your friend knows you well and predicts where you would hide them. Or he goes to the first place a noob would hide a chest and finds your chest there.
I play SSP a lot, so I can keep my stuff in the open, but I've found that hiding the good chest under the floor somewhere while leaving a few not-so-worthwhile chests in the open works pretty well.
Someone comes in, sees a few chests, see stone, saplings, maybe a few iron, and that's it.
Then there's 58 Obsidian and a Power IV Bow buried in the floorboards....
I put my chests in my underground bunker, which has lever activated piston doors. The bunker is made out of stone, so it is indistinguishable from the normal stone. I then destroy the lever as I leave and cover the bunker entrance with a wood plank that forms a part of the floor.
Pros: Hidden well
Cons: Mining trips (I sometimes accidentally expand my mineshaft and suddenly end up destroying one of the bunker blocks.) I plan on surrounding it with lava.
Are you sure he's not following you or, at least, getting close enough to see your gamertag displayed above your head (even through walls) and then noting locations where you stand still for a period of time?

TNT X-Ray Glitch! At least i would hope so. Ether that or you are very bad at hiding your stuff!
Try hiding it in the nether! If he finds it then, you are obviously being followed.

That's a good one.. I'll have to do that some time.

this !! if you turn off display names, its only for you ? the other people still see your headbar or gamertag ?
You should just trust your friends, lol! Just kidding. Of course my friends and I share everything. I would make some kind of trap or something and have your stuff surronded by bedrock.
Believe it or not there are some of us out there that do not steal from our fellow players. I happily play with a consistent small group that have had no issue with item theft. While I do not doubt that there are hidden chests (you never know when that new guy you're trying out might flip) we are able to leave our chests and items in our homes openly without issue.

I am not playing a cooperative game in Minecraft until chests are made private, for this very reason.

Yes, I lied on the servay. No, I do not feel bad. Check out my blog at [email protected]!
That is actually a good point.
You should hide it in stone.(Not cobblestone) and have it in a nearby ocean
