Ah yeah completely forgot about the Spider Jockey's too D: my bad haha! But yeah I have actually seen those on like two or three occasions, of which one of those was when I was actually near enough to attack one, but the other was just seeing it from a distance and by the time I made a move from my base to go over and attack it, it was gone I'd say theres maybe more of a chance of seeing one of them than seeing a charged creeper or a zombie pigman spawned from a pig being struck my lightning!
I had the most bizzare thing happen with my wolf on my original main world, where I was down alone in my slime farm rooms at bedrock level, and upon hearing the very first strike of thunder from above, my wolf was suddenly teleported down next to me and on fire before it then died O_o made me jump a bit too when I suddenly got nudged and turned around to see my wolf on fire right behind me :| at the time the lightning struck, my wolf was indoors inside my base/house, so the only explanation I can think of is that stuff above ground level had temporary unloaded whilst I was deep down underground, all apart from the wolf maybe? which in turn was somehow struck by the first bolt of lightning to hit during a storm that was starting! This was back before 1.8.2 too, so passive mobs would spawn/despawn as normal and I'm assuming that as the wolf was tamed by me, then it probably wouldn't unload in that case?
I dont think tame dogs unload, im guessing . Iv witnessed something similar. It might be a glitch just because i know when it rains the dogs shake as if their trying to shake the water but because their tame they probobly cant correctly unload due to the rain (and as there eet they try to shake dry) ? I dont know if thats a fact but i do know they shake because when you pass by or stand next to them in rain you hear it, it sounds like popping.
I've never seen one (or at least noticed one) since I played Minecraft during the Beta release. Wiki says they blow up - I think - 3 or 4 times bigger than a normal creeper.
I've actually seen two on my first day of playing Minecraft: XBLA, then one far later, and that's pretty much it. That first day, though, just pure luck. I wasn't even aware of their rareness at the time.

Wow. That is pure luck. I've only seen a few jockeys!
I have been playing MC since PC. patch 1.4 and have only sen 1 on XBox.
The first one I saw was outside my house and I wanted to see the difference in blast radius so I brought the creeper to what I thought was far enough from my house. It still managed to vaporize 2/5 of my house.
To be honest, I don't think they've added the 'charged creeper' feature yet.
But who said I knew everything, maybe you could take a few minutes of your time and read
the 'Minecraft Wiki'.
But if they did it would probably be a 'once in a lifetime opertunity'.

This has been the same case for me.
However, I did see an Overworld Zombie Pigman.
-Lazily didn't read 3 pages of posts-
To put it simply: If you aren't trying to find one, you are most-likely won't find one...and God help you if you do.
Stay fluffy~
