first when i destroyed a block of dirt in the snow, the snow on top just didn't even disappear. i then shoveled it, it came back! i was like okay whatever no big deal. i planted a tree around the same spot the snow was messing up, JUST A STUMP APPEARED. a single block of wood. i walked near it and i started getting hurt. THEN i was finally able to plant a tree near by, but the side of the leaves facing the weird glitchy spot were completely like shaved off that side of the tree. i was then thinking WITCHCRAFT! so i saved then left the game. i came back, and there were the trees i planted (they actually look like trees now, not just stumps) and the floating snow is gone. my game was offline so it couldn't be lag? what the **** just happened lol.
Destroying a block under snow doesn't destroy said snow, oddly enough. And, come to think of it, I've had an experience where the snow kept coming back. It was quite frustrating, as I was trying to lay Redstone.
Yeah it can be glitchy sometimes, Ive been randomly killed (in peaceful mode) when just walking along etc, like my character had a heart attack lol, and seen glitchy as hell blocks also.
Quiting and then re-loading the world usually fixes it

it fixed everything but now a torch is floating. :/ this **** never happens to me so the whole tree incident was pretty trippy.
INVISIBLE FIRE REALLY.
so my house caught on fire from the fireplace that hasn't gave me any problems at all. i tried putting the fire out, it wouldn't go. i destroyed the block then caught on fire out of no where from invisible fire. i was forced to exit my game without saving because i was afraid it would **** up and burn my house down. really. just really.
Sounds like lag to me. The only time I ever have that happen is when playing on someones world and my game lags really bad. It causes the blocks I mined to reappear.

no, i haven't. that wouldn't make a difference though would it?
i exited again and it's working properly... for now.
i'm playing offline...
It might still be lag. People have been posting about lag spikes in their worlds after the update. It could cause something similar to your snow debacle.

Yeah I wouldnt think that itd make a difference, but I duno, maybe theres some glitches still in the system RAM or something lol, I dont know I'm not very good with electronics
If its working fine now thats good though :), maybe just a random occurance, be interesting to see if it happens again.

The game is being ported so expect glitches, they are attempting to add features to catch up to the PC versions or well get close behind, they are probably prioritizing the new features, fixing game breaking issues right away and waiting to smooth out the rest. So expect bugs they will get worked out along the way, remember every game is unoptimized and bugged the hell out in the beginning.
Hell some great games are that way now and they have been out for years including a personal favorite Metro 2033! <3
Crap, I'm sure they'll work out the kinks in the game though and you know not, not fix it....
If you're experiencing weird problems on a semi-regular basis I'd try clearing the cache on your xbox. I'm not sure how much data minecraft puts through there but from working on other games I know this can often help. (Note: You will have to re-download the updates from XBL but it will not change any of your save files.)
lol but i'm nice to sheep! they couldn't possibly have a vendetta against me.

yeah well now a torch is floating on nothing.

I know it shouldnt matter but have you tried restarting your xbox?
L0lol very trippy indeed.
On my first world I made I remember being very snowy, and I worked in the snow alot and never recalled having this happen. or did it?

Also, there is always the slight chance of things getting glitchy when you build/mine around the spawn area.
Once again, I say, fix the bugs before you release any dlc!
