So Im not sure if it was cheating but I used an internet web app on how to find slimes. All you need is to find your Map Seed AND X and Z coordinates. THATS ALL!
Slime Finder: http://extension.ws/...aft/slimes.html
And Me and my buddy dug a 16x16x5 room where the slimes spawn!
I currently have 3 Stacks of 64 Slimeballs!
Im So excited for the 1.7.3 Update for XBOX Minecraft Edition
STICKY PISTONS HERE I COME!!!
Its no different to looking up how to do anything else in minecraft on the internet.
On PC servers, it would most likely be considered cheating. Jus the same as using an Xray texture pack on the PC that let's you see where all the ores are.
Well my slime farm works fine and I didnt use that web thing i actually made a 50 by 50 room 3 blocks high yea... that took three hours but it was worth it personally I feel satisfied how i started my farm

The link takes the world seed you used and shows the chunks which spawn Slimes.
Due to the way slimes spawn only specific Chunks can spawn them which is decided during the world generation.

Thanks for point this out! Dug a 16x16 hole around one of the points and boom slime. Got all I need from my latest map in perfect order. thanks again.
Notes on this;
1. You need to know the map seed name.
2. Digging a 16x16 hole around the point from bedrock to say 20-30 high is more then good enough. ( just 4 high would probably be good enough
3. Spawning does not occur while your there. leave and come back.
On my last map I built a mine cart system to zip me away and back. On this map two more spawns are side by side and at 16x16 will overlap when dug. I'm gonna dig at different heights to see any difference in spawning.

Seatbelts are not as confining as Wheelchairs. Buckle up.
I've recently finished my automatic slime farm which using this. Though got so annoyed at the little buggers that i made a water tunnel leading to lava for my enjoyment...

How, exactly, will a pc server know that you typed the seed into a webpage?

Afaik it doesn't involve using the game at all. So it isn't considered cheating.
