all the people complaining about the cost of dlc on xbox and how its free on pc get a life there are a lot of things you can do on a pc that you just dont have the capability's to do on the xbox you can get way more in depth with the codes for a pc not so much for the box plus the more money that goes to 4j and mojang the faster updates and more dlc will be released
If Other People Can Get Them For Free Then Everyone Should Get Them For Free I Just Think That It Should Be Up To The One Who Made It To Decide If They Want To Make It For 360.

Well, it isn't up to the person who made it. It is up to Microsoft, and the only ones they are going to allow are ones made by 4J Studios.
i think what was said as adding it in as an app would be a great idea and yes for texture packs Above 16x16 they would have to change alot of things in the game itself but if they released 16x16 and below then it would be very easy also no i would not like having to pay for them but if you had to i would do it because without cash they cant really advance the game forward anyways so that is all.
It might be DLC. Even then, how do they choose which texture packs to make DLC? Maybe they should make a website (or section under a current website), where you submit a texture pack, they review it, and if it's appropriate, make it DLC.

I realize I'm kinda late to the conversation but here is my 2 cents. Microsoft is only interested In making money. They won't host free texture packs on there servers absorbing the cost of bandwidth for each download. As far as paid, they have to make sure the content is the property of the original owner. I can't see them risking legal battles over this. Enjoy vanilla, or play on PC. I hardly think we will see any texture packs on the 360, unfortunately.
Who says they will be fan made for the Xbox version?
I can see 4J making a bunch or at least copying some.
Even if they make you pay for them, I will buy one, and mod it to my liking , that way, I can keep redownloading the default if I want to make another one
That wouldnt work, all you'd get is people uploading their favorite ones and claiming they were theres
They wouldn't have to say it's theirs, they wouldn't have to put an author on a skin pack. They could just put it up to vote on the forums, and whichever top 3 or so has the most votes, get put on. It's not really that hard to do.
I think Microsoft will maybe implement them and hold contest of pulls for the best ones. Then take the top X and ask the makers of the packs if they want to get paid for every x amount of skins sold.
If they pay for a skin you don't even really care about, they're definitley going to make you pay for a texture pack. Maybe one will be free or something but I can imagine it being like 800 MS Points.
I'm willing to bet that once the first texture pack hits, lots of illegal ones will show up shortly there after. Honestly texture packs isn't much more then a pic with a bunch of smaller images stamped in series all over it, and unless its encrypted, and or uses some type of digital stamp people will figure ways to make their own. You may think xbox to be not modable, but games like toohuman, and borderlands will tell you a total different story.
There are some who have even managed to for the most part decode MC xbox map format, though they still have a ways to go on that project, they have managed to 'clip' a part of a map into another.
Point is if texture packs are too insanely priced and or not fast enough and our just simply not giving the ones the community is demanding, the community generally finds ways around 'said' rules, much to the dismay of mr big.

Since we don't know how they plan on releasing texture packs yet, we can't really guess much about their price. My bet is that they might sell Texture Packs as DLC individually for like 80MSP or maybe even 160MSP. I'd have no problem paying 160MSP for a good texture pack.
I'm assuming the reason it's taking so long is so that they can stress test the texture packs to see if they cause any lag on the Xbox 360 Edition. they're also probably trying to figure out how to allow people to preview them before they buy them like they do with skins.
How about people just being happy with what they have. Most developers would have you paying for each one of these updates. You payed $20 for this game a year ago and probably spent more time on it than any you paid $60 for plus all of dlc.
i think texture packs would be more like 400-800 points as its a much bigger impact on the game than just a few changeable skins
It has no bigger impact than skins. Skins change the character, texture pakcks change the games look. I don't see how that would be worth anything more than 40omsp. I would never pay 400 or 800 points for a single texture pack. I was ok with pay 160 for skins because you get 45 of them. The only way I would pay 400 or 800 points for texture packs is if they came bundled with like 3 texture packs in one DLC for 400 points and then 5 for 800. Paying that much money for a single texture pack would be asinine and would let 4J/Microsoft know they have sheep filled with money they could farm.

sell them for around the cost of a skin pack.
Texture packs would probably take a long time for them however.
Next to updates and skin packs, they would have their hands full.
Does that mean that the texture packs are really free on PC?
I dont think so..
The small amount they would cost are acceptable in my view.
If you dont like it, either:
1) Dont buy it
2) Play it on PC (£££$$$)

Into your life it will creep. It starts when you're always afraid. You step outside, the creeper comes and blows you away.

This. I think they will be atleast 800 points. I would buy it.
