I would say it is most definitely worth it. I had never played the PC version, so I was new to everything and have enjoyed everything in the game. If you're a PC veteran, don't jump into the game expecting the equivalent experience to the current PC version. It is going to take time, but I have a lot of faith that 4J will continue to make the Xbox experience better and better.

It's the one game I can't stop playing atm so I'd say it was definitely worth $20. I maan you're lucky to get a decent game for $60 these days...Not to mention they're going to be releasing a lot of DLC which is always nice.
I'd never played Minecraft before, so I didn't know what the fuss was all about, just that it was so popular on PC.
When it came out for 1600 MSP I voiced the opinion on a couple of forums that it was very expensive for an Xbox Live Arcade game. Some people negged my post because they were like, "You'll play it for 100 hours, it will take over your life, of course it's worth 1600 MSP!". Some people voted my post up because they agreed that 1600 is a bit too much moneygrabbing for a marketplace where 1200 is the premium price for things.
Anyway, I bought that game, and yup, it's a timesink! I suppose I've gotten my money's-worth. I also think it's probably a good idea to start Xbox gamers on the 1.6 version, because I might have been overwhelmed by too much of the stuff added in later PC updates. It's good to start simple. I guess most PC players started around 1.6 and saw the game gradually get more complex, so that's probably good for Xbox gamers too.
So I guess the Xbox 360 Edition is for the last couple of million people in the world who can't or don't want to play the game on PC. It brings it to a more "casual" arena -- mates sat around a sofa playing split-screen -- and I've also heard from people who say they spend all day sitting at a PC so that's the last thing they want to do when they get home.
For me, the Xbox version served as a good taster, but now I want the PC version! My PC will be able to run it, so there was never anything stopping me before except ignorance about Minecraft. But now I've paid £15 for the Xbox version I don't want to pay such a sum again. Hmm. I guess I made my format choice, I'll have to stick with Xbox 360.
Is it worth it?? Hell yeah!! For me it's worth the measly $20 as I will get more hours on this game than any $60 game i own. Give it try, I don't see how you can wrong for $20. Good Luck!
If you're in it for splitscreen: Have an HDTV
Bugs: Will be patched very soon.
I don't think I've spent more then 6 hours away from my xbox at any given time since release (I need my 6 hours of sleep)
Me: Facepalm
Friends that are allergic to PCs can now play MineCraft with you.
The port really is true to 1.6.6 on the PC and can only get better from here.
So, ya, another $20 out the window was worth it to me.
Get it.
Someone has an addiction Oh hell! Voted Up
I think I'm about to head to Wally world and grab me a copy right now guys!
A million times yes.
There is no better game to buy on the entire arcade marketplace.
