that sucks man I feel your loss, it happend on the PC version to me once, but I rebuilt, ended up being 10 time better =)
Im trying not to get attached to any map because who knows what the updates will do
whats the point in saving to a memory stick when i have the HDD,internal memory and cloud storage ???so thats 3 places to save game files???
BECAUSE YOU COULD FORGET WHERE YOU SAVED THEM!
Anyways, might as well do what they said above and wait for an update. If the next one doesn't fix it, I would just rebuild.
my save wont load either, it just reached 19mb, and I hope to God that this isnt like the skyrim save issues, where the save file gets so big the xbox cant handle it....... though i guess i gotta make a new world now too
Seeing as how there are 168 hours in a week and it has only been five days, I highly doubt that you have spent 100 hours on. That would mean that even if you got the game at midnight last wednesday, you would have only a few hours for doing anything but minecraft.
my 2 sons are helping again with a new map thats why i have over 100 hours when i dont play the map they play 2 xboxs 3 ppl you do the math???lol and add to it i guess some ppl just assume ur playing it alone lol but anyways ya we have done built ships and even a aircraft carrier with planes that probley took abt 1,000 blocks long, alot of ppl helped and alot of digging of cobblestone to smelt in the furnace

you said ' I have over 100 hours logged' ...so why would people not assume your playing alone. If you have 3 people playing on the same map then you have maybe 30 hours each logged.
I had this very same problem. I lost three games in one day. I was doing pretty good, nothing fancy. Several people on here helped me with this issue and I believe I have a solution. It works for me and I have not lost a game yet. Keep your fingers crossed.
Delete the save games
Clear Cache
Reload the update for minecraft when you connect to xbox live
When you want to quite playing, choose save and quit
When you get back to the main screen, don't just turn off the xbox if you are done. Choose exit game and let it take you back to the dashboard. Once your at the dashboard, you can turn off the console.
I think my problem was, I was saving but when I got back to the main screen, I would just turn off the x box. I think this had something to do with corrupting my save games. But like I said, this works for me now and I have not lost anymore games.
Try this and see if it works for you. Sorry to hear about your big loss. 100 hours. OUCH. Good luck.
Stalker, what were the exact circumstances that led up to your save being corrupted? A couple of us, myself included, have ran into saves being corrupted when syncing to and from the cloud, and it may be a fixable without waiting for the patch, depending on the circumstances of the issue. I ask because you mentioned two xboxs were involved, and that could be part of the problem.
Not much to do but start a new map and start over.
