Realism is bad for video games, especially sandbox games like minecraft.
OT: I don't want hunger, ever. I also don't want the new combat system (charge bows, crits etc), enchanting, new terrain, breeding (more specifically I don't want it so passive mobs don't respawn, this is just a byproduct of them adding breeding), ravines, or abandoned mine shafts. The only things I care about them adding is all the new blocks/items.
I know, games don't have to be realistic to be awesome, hunger is just a stupid chore..
THOUGH I WOULD PREFER TO HAVE A CLASSIC MODE ADDED (Play stlyle like alpha and/or beta but you can still use new items.) I WOULD TRADE ALL OF THOSE IDEAS AND WOULDN'T GIVE ANY DAMNS IF THEY CEASED TO UPDATE IF THEY WOULD JUST FIX THE SPLIT SCREEN DAMMIT!
Better combat, more than anything. The combat pre-1.8 is the reason I usually played on Peaceful, I find it more annoying than anything to be honest.
As for something I don't really want to see... Hunger. Or at the very least, an option to turn it off - I don't think it's inherently bad, but I find it slightly irritating that it's an "all-or-nothing" deal on PC right now (as in; you can either have hunger and hostile mobs on, or both off, but no middle-ground without mods).
Just played the demo, there's 3 things that I feel are absolutely necessary.
1. Standard definition support. Try playing on a non-widescreen monitor/TV and everything is stretched and looks terrible.
2. make the HUD smaller and remove the buttons from the bottom left, the HUD takes up way too much space and the on screen buttons are totally pointless for anything but the tutorial. They're just taking up space.
3. The ability to completely customize button schemes. None of the 3 options they've given us are comfortable for me.
hoping that thay let sd tv play splitscreen and not just hd tv
ive tryed sevrill times to get splitscreen to work and it just wont... has eney one els had the same problem?
I just thought of something not on this list that I think would make browsing the inventory/chests/etc. much easier.
Now, I don't know about anyone else, but I sit around 6 feet away from my TV. I can see what's going on fine, but in chests and such, blocks are almost indistinguishable (iron ore looks like gravel which looks like stone which looks like grey wool, etc.).
So, having said that, here's an idea - Make the tool-tip that pops up telling you the item's name have a larger image of the block as well. It's not something necessary, but I think it'd make things much easier, personally (for that matter, I don't comprehend why the GUI pointer doesn't snap to inventory slots, but that's a separate issue of mine).
i didnt realize how big of a minecraft noob i was until i got lost for like 2 hours in my world lol(i accidently tossed the map with the B button and never noticed)
i actually had to build like 3 houses because i didnt want to die with my diamonds(first time i've ever found any) and the nights are insane, i never saw that many mobs on PC
and then i had to explore every cave i found along the way jajaja
Also, I don't mind having hunger, so long as we get the option to disable it.
It's a MOD. It's never going vanilla. Especially in the xbox edition.
Actually they said that eventually you will be able to get mods for the 360 version.
ilied, it was confirmed that there would not be mods
