maps most likely will not be possible unless someone can make a converter, skins and texture pack will be available in the near future, and i believe there are plans to release mods for the xbox version. and yes, they do plan to update to the pc, it's just easier to start in an earlier build of the game

Still a credit to your ruse, what a beautiful excuse, To never open up your eyes and see the things you lose,
Just climb the beanstalk when you die and meet the giant in the sky.
If the xbox can't handle any map bigger than 1000X1000 now, how is it suppose to handle "infinite" PC maps? "Map converter?"- no, not unless world files get saved (meaning both programs would have to be modified) in the same format in both programs, cause it's not just PC>xbox worlds, you'd also have to have xbox>PC worlds.
There are different skins for the different players already built into the program. But you're talking about custom skins- no, unless they add a "skin maker" to the program. They could also have dozens of different pre-made skins that you can choose from in a in-game menu. Texture packs could work via an in-game menu selection also.
Mods are highly unlikely. Everybody is wishing and hoping, but that's all they can do. IF there are any, they won't be duplicates of (your favorite) existing PC mods. They'll be "new" mods designed and written by 4J, also selectable by in-game menu.
Bottom Line: if you're thinking that you can import anything off a flash drive into the game, forget it. Not gonna happen.
