I ask anyone who has access to the game to go to the Nether, travel, make a new portal, and come up in the overworld again. Where are you? How big is the Nether if the overworld is so small? It would have to be 8x smaller than the overworld to still act the same. So like 140x140 or something like that. So please, someone figure this out.

Hmm, hadn't thought of that... perhaps the Nether has 1:1 distance with the overworld now.
Wait, what happens if you get to the end of the world then? I want to know if I'm gonna randomly find myself falling into the void because of that fake land stuff like on the pc.

Oh good god. I just got done watching like 3 videos and you're basiclly put on an island. Why is this such a bad thing? Half of the walkthroughs I see on youtube of the PC minecraft, They never even venture too far from their house. So whats the big deal? Sure you're contrained to a limited map. People who enjoy the game will make it work, and those who don't will be waiting for a world size update. I think the world size is fine, and it will be great if they update the size. If they don't, I really couldn't care less.
I have a feeling it is because of the muliplayer having to host your self and load so many chunks would be stressful on the xbox.
Wait until cross platform play is in... I have a feeling that if and when we can connect to pc severs it will be whatever size that sever is thus unlimiting us.
I personaly would be okey with this size. I do hopeit will be bigger tho. But its not like the world is ubber small and you got one cave and can only build two thing. It is the xbox360 version and a xbox360 is no pc. If you want to play the pc minecraft you need to play it on pc.
Cause maybe they update the map size but maybe they dont. It is what it is
I think splitscreen is the issue. It's a good idea but running 2 or 4 copies of MC on a console takes a lot of technical prowess and the maps probably had to be badly scaled for it.
If that's the case, I think this is a horrible trade.
I haven't played Total Miner since shortly after release, so it may have improved a lot, but back then it did feel very restricted. I don't think this will be the case with Minecraft, at least not to such a high degree.
There's so many things to do in Minecraft, where as in Total Miner only had one monster type, and a very limited, and boring over-world. The cave exploration was pretty interesting though.
Again, this is all based on my experience with Total Miner from about a year ago, if all these things have changed then I apologize.

Total Miner's survival mode, Dig Deep, has a set area of 256 x 256 x 2,000 (deep). It would appear that MC360's area is equal to only 16 Total Miner worlds, length and width-wise. Seems like a lot until you actually explore Total Miner's surface and realize that many MC worlds probably have a good bit of water and it's definitely not 2,000 deep.
Maybe we'll rarely ever need to go outside the area of a single map but does feel restricting to know that you can't if you want to.
'Infinite' was in quotes. Total Miner's maps will be much bigger than they are now (as in really huge).
Currently Total Miner's Dig Deep is 256X256X2014.
The Creative world is 1024X1024X128.... but when you make the Creative map you can 1) choose any size between those two (but as the world gets smaller it gets deeper) and 2) you can choose your ground level.
Wait wait wait. The minecraft map thats given to you when you first make a world is for that area only.1024x1024 is for just that one map.If you go out of the map area and create a new map it will load more of the world on the new map.Trust me guys the world is bigger then 1024x1024.The map can only fit so much on it.

Just a heads up, you may want to get rid of that link as soon as you can. You'll get banned for 7 days if a mod finds that.
Google is thy friend....

There is an invisible wall that stops you.
Think my post is helpfull, hillarious or just plain likeable? Freaking hit the green UP arrow down there, or else.
play total miner, and tell me you don't feel restricted.

Also, here is an awesome suggestion I had: http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/1745550-biome-effects/
