I reckon you could somehow design a mod and maybe buy it with microsoft points?
That'd be more like a DLC, and I don't believe a XBLA game has EVER had a DLC before.. but it is Minecraft. It's probable, but highly unlikely. The modding community will always be and always stay PC.
It can be very difficult to mod a console, and trying to get mass amounts of people to do it would be digital armageddon, so I put my vote as no.
I believe those who put "yes" simply have a lack of knowledge about how these mods actually work.
It's not even out yet, no one knows for sure what will or won't be in it,,,, and people want to mod it already.
(Shakes head).
Thank goodness the xbox version won't have mods.
might like be DLC's for mods, and yes whoever said there is barely any DLC for XBLA games you are wrong, i have seen quite a few, but usually in the form of packs. (ie:skin packs)
I don't believe a XBLA game has EVER had a DLC before..
Actually, quite a few have had DLC, like Trials HD : Link
And If they did them as DLC They wouldn't be called "mods". And the developers of the XBLA version would have to develop the "mods" themselves as the current Minecraft mods are written in java.
Just out of being a daily XBOX user, I'd have to say no. If they even allowed mods, I'd be playing as Gary Coleman right now on Fallout 3. =/ There's some people who mod with jump drivers, or external tools, but only offline, aside from a couple hacked Nazi Zombie servers on COD WAW. Based on my experiences anyway.

Yes, they have. Many XBLA games have DLC.
No there will not be mods unless they are made by Mojang/4J Studios. Microsoft does not allow 3rd party things on the Xbox, which is what mods are.
Well, with the "Modding API" on the way, they could make it so mods are in external files. These files could be accessed by the XBox version via a download. Notch said he wants an official mod repository, so the XBox version could possibly have a built-in repository browser / mod manager.

The Internet is a big place, friend. I've been places you've n͍̺e̩v̦e̦̰͍͓̩ͅr̜̭̝̬̬͉̤̬ ͙ịm̖͇a͍͇̤͙̥g̤̘i͔͖̤̼̪̬n͖͔̳̬̯e̩̘ḓ͈͔̠̙͇̼̯.͎
It is possible to mod xBox games, I think, but it involves pluggin the hard drive in to your computer and messing with the files.
You are correct in that it is possible, but it is unstable and typically limited to modifying textures and sometimes text. XBox games are written in C# which is a truly compiled language (unlike accursed Java) and cannot (usually) be modified once to code has been converted to machine language.
Very simple, low-level mod can be made be modifying the game binaries, but nothing on the scale of Mo' Creatures or Humans+ would likely be possible.
Also, one cannot simply plug an XBox hard drive into a PC. It requires some reasonable hacking skills and a risky process called "hot-swapping" the drive into a modified PC. Unless you have a modchip or custom bootloader installed on the XBox.
I'm going to hope for external mods and an official mod repository.

Skyrim on Xbox was supposed to be as moddable as in PC but Microsoft didn't allow it...
btw in oblivion, Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas you are able to use PC mods by transferring your GameSave, but it is limited to what is in the game so anything custom doesn't work.
I doubt there will be mods but i'll definitely get it if there is.

I remember watching a video a couple months back on the Xbox dashboard. They said that mods were a possibility.
Only person to say, "I'll work on it"
...First one...
