ya my vita tells me there is nothing in the store to buy even though i have bought the natural and city pack to use but the weird thing is all the texture packs are there to use as a trial yet there not in the store..
Yea the in game store is empty but the PS Store via the app has them all.
On bug related news if you open a chest it seems to lag and thus skips the opening animation

i think we should all use common sense and logic when we answer and ask a question but always stay open minded
just cause science fails to explain something does not mean its real (afterlife, big foot, ghosts etc..) does not mean its fake try to stay opened mined instead of closed
Yea game is laggy but not unplayable, Also I found a dupe bug :3
Well more like it found me cause IDK what is causing it or how to dupe anything other than a chest.

Seems about the same frame rate as PS3 so far. My only beef so far is the render distance feels quite a bit shorter. However I'm feeling certain will be a source of a further frame rate drop soon.

You have to search Minecraft in the Playstation Store then go to each individual one to buy it/download it for free if you have PS3/PS4 packs. Kind of weird

What he said, i was only able to download all my skins/texture packs via doing a search on the website/ps vita built in store with "Minecraft" and then each individual one i individually downloaded, or i queued for download on the us.playstation.store site.
Well so far I personally haven't seen lag with rain/snow yet, but interacting with furnaces, crafting tables, etc, seems to have a small delay compared to the larger pc and console ports. Not game breaking but funny to see the hand rapidly tap the block like they're afraid.
Okay, so now our Europe friends got the game, as well as US yesterday, how is everybody liking it? I for one, after no life Minecrafting for a day at home and at school (lol), feel it is the full console experience with some limits. The Vita's controls take a few hours to get used to, then it becomes more natural, although if you are pvp'ing somebody and want to change perspective while running, unless you have super thumbs, it's virtually impossible. Framerate and glitches aren't really a big deal for me, because it will be fixed within a few weeks time. But for framerate, I'm actually impressed compared to the gameplay we were seeing at E3 and Gamescom and PAX. Online is also a little buggy, like I said updates will fix it (hopefully). Although I'm glad to see 8 players multiplayer, I am worried how laggy it will be since PS3 has 8 and even it can get pretty laggy. I noticed when I try to invite friends to a world with a texture pack, it will either switch to an offline game or just crash 1 out of 4 or 5 times. Like I stated, those are bugs and can easily be fixed. So far so good in my opinion.
I dont run into the issue of disconnecting users unless my vita completely times out (ex: i power off the device or put in standby for longer than 30 seconds where in the network drops or "sleeps"). I Dont run into these player disconnect issues.
I can confirm the 3g model doesn't do squat and it doesn't update much more than leader boards to see, not to submit though.
Almost all lag is virtually gone when playing with other players (im assuming its because i have a great network connection meaning Fiberoptics, i cant say the wireless module in the device itself is great but... it works.)
As far as choppyness goes, little to 0 choppyness, only a few second stutter compared to the ps3 version. I'd like to say its more grainy and graphics are broken somewhat when breaking certain blocks at randomized times but otherwise it runs faster and more efficiently than the ps3 variant.
My experience from minecraft now on both the 1000 and 2000 vita is a pretty great one. My framerate seemed better on the older vita but.... I was playing in adhoc with both of my vitas and the host was the slim. I am contributing a slower framerate on my slim due to it being the host. Anyways, everything seems great. I think that the ui's touch sensitivity on the smaller boxes is a little bit awkward but all in all seems fine. Maybe my hands were too dry when testing the screen with the game... anyways I'm just babbling now and I can't feel my legs. OMG .... my legs! HELP!!!! omgomgomg my legs!!! MY LEGS!!!!!!!!

Minecraft for PS Vita is essentially the same as for PS3, world size is 862x862 blocks for both versions according to the Minecraft wiki. If they weren't the same size then there wouldn't be cross-save.
EDIT: World size is actually 864x864, but only the inner 862x862 blocks can be used.
I've been playing the game a lot as we've been going places. There really aren't that many bugs that I've experienced, just sometimes blocks tend to hang for a bit before it shows up that you placed them and ghost blocks that occur for a half second after you break a block. The game runs really smoothly, just when you look at a place with a lot of leaves like a jungle, the framerate goes down a little bit, but it's not bad at all. Travelling through a nether portal is strange, the nausea effect pulls the screen downward instead of going round in circles, which is a bit of an eyesore. Also with sticky pistons there's a bit of a rendering glitch sometimes with my double piston extender, just that the block that's being pulled disappears and re-appears instead of looking like it's being pulled but bugs are bugs and they shall be squashed.
One problem though, I'm not sure if it's my Vita or the game, but once when the game was autosaving, it crashed. I lost out on a half hour's work in that world, but at least it was basically just filling up my map with the whole world. I found 2 villages, sorted out my chests then as I was returning home from getting melons from a villager, autosave and crash. That was the first time it crashed while autosaving. It could be my Vita because I haven't really turned it off for a few days or exited the other game I was playing, I just put it in sleep mode so can anyone please tell me if they've also had this crash while autosaving.
Other than that, things work as they're intended, redstone, farming, the nether, the end, like I said I haven't really found too many bugs and the ones that I have found a pretty common and should be fixed soon. Right now I've killed a few blazes and I'm getting myself ready for the Ender Dragon, just gotta kill them Endermen get some more arrows and I'll be good to go. I've really enjoyed the game so far, maybe just because it's a lot better than pocket edition in my opinion. I was expecting it to be boring since I played Minecraft so much on my PC and PS3 but I just found it so fun.

Maps. You're given one upon world loading in your inventory or you can craft one. It shows a very simple X/Y/Z for you.
