Hi- Before I start, I recently made a post similar to what I’m about to make here but the original post I tried removing and don’t know how. However, that said post, I did not clearly state my need. This is what I intend to address here, formally.
The ‘skeleton’ of the Seed:
The general feel of the seed I want to make would need to start with, be amplified for those mountains and some other aspects like canyons and the ilk.
My approach in this is to make it strictly survival for access of PSN trophies and leaderboards. Though the first is the focus, if to be said.
The making of of the seed would need all biomes, not so clustered but nice and even as I’ve originally found a year ago with a post ‘Kingdom of Asc..’ something. I had a project working til the newer updates since then, at which I’m wanting to redo it and renew my approach. So all biomes are needed, but I’m hesitant using the options for it since it may not generate ideally. Id be making it large as well, with central point being ‘home base’
With all that said, this is some of the projects I wanted to work making in the game. Those who are familiar with some, if not all ‘Legend of Zelda’ series. I’m going to incorporate all elements of the series in the seed, ideally I’d need my central point to have plains a bit with body of waters not too far for ports and mountains off somewhere nearby, etc. It’d be nice to have a little bit of ‘fauna’ nearby but mainly the bigger sources of them would be in their own parts in the seed somewhere. This is mainly for having a large 200-500 blocks circle radius flat space to work on building a ‘Capital’ city being Hyrule. This is the project I always get stumped working on, due to the sheer enormous work to do with clearing space and building all the while rebuilding resources.
Now for some other biomes aspects need:
Large range of mountains tall and wide, some with pools of water or waterfalls etc. These will house the ‘Goron cities; Zora domains’ so some mountains being huge and intricate would be a plus for their respective capital cities. (All structures are a must, and more mineshafts the merrier haha but just everything really. But for the zora domains, ocean temples are a must as well maybe a few submerged ravines/submerged mountains)
A good harmony of land and water, in types and sizes.
All biomes, once again mentioned, but not too clustered or a few.
Several variety of villages sizes and placements would would be ideal, like I’ve seen some being half places on plains and a plateau nearby would have the other half haha. Other ones I saw some half built in caves and poking out of mountainsides or etc. One occasion I saw it built over a small block high water body stretching out to the ocean so it was like being in Venice or even the ‘Island of Besaid’ in final fantasy haha
More to come in edits but this hopefully gives an ideal clearly on what I want to incorporate in a seed, and what I need from one. I loved working with the ‘Kingdom of Ascladon’ seed in another post here but I’ve redid this approach several times now that I just want to try a different but similar seed. Hoping to get some replies going with suggestions and some own discoveries.
