update 1.39. So far my zombie, skeleton and cave spider farms and another random spider spawner have become pig spawners- and the quote at the main menu when I exited, "Bringing home the bacon" 0o - something not listed in the patch logs?
Hey! I'm not the only one. I was just about to make thread too. Also my Blaze spawners pigged out on me. And have you noticed any extra lighting around your spawners by chance? My zombie one seems brighter (even though there are no lights around it) and it seems slightly blueish. I'm gonna check my skeleton spawner here in a moment.
Strange, my skeleton spawner is totally unaffected. Still looks like a skeleton, still spawns mobs (my zombie one wouldn't work for some reason), and no weird lighting problems.
Sorry to "spam", I'm just posting any new findings as I go. Anyway, my skeleton spawner pigged out on me. I also figured out my lighting problem as a result. What happened was I went to the spawner and it worked as normal. I saved, backed out, and reloaded. After that whenever I'd interact with anything (such as chests, crafting tables, hoppers, etc.) everything around me would light up like there was a night vision effect in that area. Then a few skeletons spawned and it pigged out. After that nothing further would spawn. I have another PS3 I'm gonna try later and see if its the same on there.
Alright this should be the last post for a while, sorry for the influx. Anyway, my other system didn't seem affected by the glitch. I'm not certain though since the only world I play on that one has one known spawner (I lost the other two's coordinates). The zombies spawned as expected, it never pigged out, and I couldn't make it do the lighting problem again.
Same thing has happened to me, zombie and skeleton spawners have poth turned to pigs. My whole game has turned completely unstable after the 1.39 update
The lighting glitch has been present for a while- I hadn't noticed a problem with it until MacBros brought it up and I paid more attention to it- I seem to recall an earlier PC version had a similar problem.
As for the pigs, we aren't alone- after my post I found a similar post on the PS4 forum, so it seems universal to the patch on at least two CE platforms.

Alright, seems the spawner glitch has ceased with this new patch. None of my spawners are pigging out and work as intended. None of the other bugs seem fixed on my end, but they weren't game breaking other than the increased chance of crashing/not saving.
Spawners are fixed for the most part, i had a skeleton spawner which is now a zombie spawner, and nothing spawns from it, i suspect it may be that wierd lighting glitch where everything is lit up.
