Finished this courtyard thing. Took me forever to gather all of those flowers, too, but I like it!
Redid a spider grinder I had. Made one out of a cave spider spawner. It's provided me a decent supply of string so far.
Finally finished my underground section, and added in a section to grow crops. Have some redstone wired up so it'll dump water on them once they're fully grown, and carry them to some hoppers.Breaks pumpkin/melon blocks, too. Took forever to get it wired up correctly, too.
Besides that, I've basically gotten the chests from outside sorted inside, finished the storage room, and am getting ready to redo the top of the tree, so it looks like an actual tree. I'm probably gonna spend the next month getting log/leaf blocks for this, too.
All my work has been going on in my main world latetly as I've decided to focus on Mount DOOOooom, and the next great phase of it, adding as much more detail as I can. It started out very basic with the always problomatic main tower with the lava flows. Over the years vines were added, perimeter walls were thickened to 3 blocks wide as opposed to just 1 block wide and thin; and in 2015 (I think) the introduction of corner "Rocket esq" (Unintentional) towers and the introduction of mixing up the cobble with spruce logs and spruce planks and two mini towers at the front for a main gate.
Below are September 2014, September 2015, Autumn 2015, 2017 (Yesterday) and the same pic but with nice shaders.
Inside the towers I have a traditional dark oak border edge with spruce planks for the rest of the floors, however in any passage ways I hope to use the new glazed terracotta in 1.12, I already have ideas. The biggest problem I have now are all the court-yards, cobble would be too much, plain stone? I played with using a shovel to "path" all the grass but I'm not sure I like it.
Ultimatley, it's highly likley the main tower with the lava will be demolished - again. In Beta, it started of very squarish but tall, abandoned for a very long time before being "Fattenned" and extended out but failed and looked hideous. Abandoned for many more years then demolished and re-built as it is today in the last pictures. Right now it's a cobble car-bunkel and I hate the swirling outside steps with the low cobble wall surround for safety. Most ideas involve wood with me, but I have to be careful of that lava. One idea is instead of having the two LOTR style lava streams to have just one coming out of a giant demon head/gargoyle or pather esq head, Mark my words though - it will be demolished.
Ideas appreciated.
There is a "Stem building" - as seen in the first picture behind the lava tower that will also need extensivley re-modelling, as well as the base the stem orignates from. Over time I woll be adding mossy cobble here and there in patches to try and detail up the plain cobble bits aslo. I would like to make a lot of it more "Spikey". (Outward not upward.)

I like the way the sky/fog color goes well with the grass. It's a bit more, hm... what's a word for it... dull or dark than what I prefer/use, but I still like that part of the one you're using. Seeing it like that with the open fields and courtyard remind me of a peaceful, light rainy day, where it either just had sun shining, or will after (if that makes sense, haha). It's not fully Grey and dark but has that rainy look to it.
Also, that courtyard and field inspires me. Do you have any pictures of the house (or whatever) from where you took that picture?

I have some pictures of it some other pages back. It's a giant tree. This was taken from one of the stairs outside.
Screenshot was taken probably around the top right.
Currently redoing the top floor (the weird, dome shape up top). Wanted it to look nicer than in this picture.
A dry dock, used to construct ships safely and send them out by slowly opening the dam walls.
Those all look nice, and I need to make a dry dock since I made some ships and have some docks and shipping areas, but no dry dock (seems long overdue actually since I have an airship construction bay, though it is very unfinished itself).

It doesn't look bad, but it looked like it used a lot of wood for survival. The top doesn't look weird to me, just too small for the trunk.
I always wanted to make a custom tree, and until rather recently, I never had. I also wanted to make a tree village and sort of use both ideas for one project, but making that many custom trees was always daunting to me, so I only make one. This was in creative mode though (I used a custom preset for the generator and liked the world it resulted in, especially the savanna plateau that extends to the build limit, so I use it for practicing ideas), not my usual survival world, and I basically took the idea from a YouTube video I saw.
It's not decorated inside. It also doesn't have any room inside the trunk, and I want to try make one that does more like yours.
I've been working on my mineshaft storage railway. It's not done yet, so I don't have screenshots yet, but I also did find out that I've been using Canadian English for the past six months.

If you'd like to talk with me about other games, here are a few I play.
Team Fortress 2
Borderlands series (Borderlands 2 is my favorite game, ever. TPS combat is a lot of fun and makes up for the lower-quality story, in my opinion)
Elder Scrolls series
Warframe (IGN is something like That_One_Flesh_Atronach)
Pokémon series (HGSS forever)
Rocket League
Fallout series
Left 4 Dead 2 (Boomer files always corrupt though)
SUPERHOT (SUPERHOT is the most innovative shooter I've played in years!)
Dead Rising series (Dead Rising 2 is one of my favorite games, and the 3rd was a lot of fun. 1st has poor survivor AI and the 4th is bad)
Just Cause series
Come to think of it, I mainly play fighting-based games.
After several months (since December 2016), I have completed the first version of my guardian farm - a hybrid farm and secondary base - that I've titled "Aftermath." It is given this name as that is exactly what it is: the aftermath of my escape from my original base. Its design reflects this reality; it is a blob of tubes and things!
In terms of features, this is both a collection farm and XP farm. However, its XP capabilities are unfortunately limited due to the new gamerule added in 1.11 (or whenever it was added; forgive me). However, I still designed it as I would've otherwise in the event that either a) Mojang reverts the gamerule for single-player, or I choose to overwrite it myself. Regardless, the function is there and it works well. This farm, despite its small spawning space, produces a lot of drops - just in the time developing the farm (though realistically the time I spent away from the farm) I have filled an entire double chest of each drop. That's great considering I have yet to do any real AFK run!
The farm includes several pathways, including an underwater tunnel to the shore, and the portal up top connects to a railway that leads directly to both an ice spikes biome and mesa. All of this completed in four months? I'd say it's been a worthwhile project.

LP series? Not my style! Video series? Closer, but not quite. Survival journal, maybe? That's better. Now in Season 4 of the Legends of Quintropolis Journal (<< click to view)!! World download and more can be found there.
MC Day 10173: I'm now back at my first main base in my current world, a few hundred blocks from world spawn. It was kinda established (but not finished) by end of 2013 before I moved to main base No.2 in a mesa biome. I've decided to remodel the downstairs area extensively as it was outdated, with a few up to date contraptions and the main storage chest layout I prefer. So far I have done the main chest area, rebuilt the portal room, which now has a zombie pigman trap where I can either send them to a watery grave and collect drops (pretty meagre i know) or send them to a processing area where I can name tag them and sent them outside to freedom via a water elevator (something I like doing, to see how far they get). I have also redone the brewing area, not only adding (slightly expanded) MumboJumbo's auto brewing station (pity about the recent brewing stand bug tho), but also a smaller station of my own design for brewing splash potions of weakness - the village nearby will be turned into a trading hall/iron farm combo, and I intend to cure zombie librarian villagers when I find them to add to it. Finally I added a Chorus Fruit farm, just a growing area and a manual water flush system to break the stems and harvest the drops (something I had built at the current base (No.4) in my world). Still lots to do.

Recently started a brand new 1.7.10 modded survival world, and decided I should probably try not to give up on this one after about a month, and actually stick to it. So, that's what I'm going to do. I thought I would pop onto this thread and show what I have done so far. It's nothing special and not much really. I have had the world for around 2-3 weeks now. I would have more done, but I have been busy with Uni.
Here's my cosy little house I have built into the side of a mountain in an Extreme Hills Biome. I have really been loving the way houses looks built into the side of mountains recently. I have started off small, but I will most likely end up expanding in the future. I wanted to make it look pretty by adding vines everywhere from the Flowercraft mod, but I think I went a little overboard... The woods used are a mixture of Oak and Mangrove from the Biomes O Plenty mod. I really like how this has turned out :3
Off to the right a little bit from my house, I have this pathway leading to a Cave. I made the Cave entrance look a little nicer, and added a door... just in case mobs decide to try and come out.... It's pretty well lit in there, but you never know. That Cave is not only been used to mine for resources, but I have also decided to place my Nether Portal in there. I will show you the end results of that once I'm done decorating and building the area it's placed in.
That little fenced off bit under my house that you can kind of see in the first picture, is where I have decided to keep my two Wolves. I thought it made a great little place to keep them when I don't want them following me around. I of course went overboard with more vines and used some Decocraft furniture as well. I think they quite like it in there.
If you go out the back door of my house, this is where I am keeping my Farm Animals. I decided, instead of building a boring old Barn like I normally would, I'm going to give these Animals a large chunk of land to roam free in. Although, if I start to get despawning issues, I might have to build a Barn. But so far, so good. I added some trees, and made them a little sheltered area in the far right corner out of Mangrove wood. Again, as you will see, I have overdone it with the vines... I just really like how pretty they make everything look :3
Also, I have created a little Carrot and Wheat Farm that I use only for breeding the Farm Animals. The proper Farm that I make for myself, is going to be built underground most likely, and that is currently a work in progress.
Here is what the inside of my little house looks like. It will probably get changed around quite a lot, because I get bored of things easily, but for now this is what I have. The furniture is from a mixture of Mr Crayfish Furniture, Decocraft and Carpenters Blocks.
The Stoarge Wall I have made is 100% tempoary. I plan on making something a lot bigger pretty soon. But I thought this would work for now, while I don't have much to organize. But, what I do have as been organized into double chests with signs so I'm not hunting around for something like a mad woman all the time.
Nothing special, but I'm really liking it so far. Hopefully, I won't do what I do best, and give up on this world anytime soon. For anyone wondering, the texture pack is called Smoothic. I'm trying it out for a bit, because I have been using the same texture pack for a few months now and wanted a change. If you want to know what Mods I have installed, just let me know
I completely finished my mining area, but there's not much other than a minecart system.
I did return to the End and kill the Dragon again, and went hunting for Shulker Shells. (I did get some help fixing them from TheMasterCaver, thanks again.) What was especially fun was the end of the fight.
Yeah, I just flew up to it... and killed it with my fish. And I flew across the End afterwards.

The first part of my world's third season of development has concluded as of a few days ago. The guardian farm I've been building over the last four months, while complete, lacked proper integration within the world. This means things like: proper entrance, gateways, pathways, railways, etc. So, in completing the project's context (if you will), I built a courtyard made out of ice as the home for my horse (Capricorn), a giant stone monument representing Stonewall (the name of this territory) as the official entrance to this place, and finished the aesthetics of the guardian farm that is already completed.
"Aftermath," my guardian farm, is over to the right in the above picture.
Aftermath up close:
Since starting the guardian farm four and a half months ago, I have stayed within the boundaries of this area called Stonewall. Alas, it is time now to move back home.

It's on an online server, but I made a villager generator from zombie spawners that drops zomb villagers into a system to get turned and then dropped 14 chunks down into a trading/semi automatic storage area. I would have pics but I'm feeling lazy atm.
Came back to single player not long ago and started fresh so the best redstone things I have so far is a basic auto cane farm and my item elevator coming out from my mineshafts into an auto sorting system.
But here's my starter base with ench table, mob farm, tree farm and other various farms, my mined item sorter/workshop still in progress and the sorting system
Still going on my Sronghold hunt, I'm currently up to 17.An old world in SMP so many chunks were formed before 1.9 so some of the zone 2 ring are absent.
By now I've found:
All 3 of the original ring
Only 3 of the second ring
All 10 of the third ring
1 of the fourth ring
Obviously a long road ahead. It takes many in-game days to get out to ring 4 (over 11000 blocks out) then generally a few days to find a new stronghold. Can hardly imagine how long to get out to ring 8 and then circumnavigate it.
I started a walking dead like world. Increased the zombies and skeletons to an insane level. Try to build a safe town with villagers. So far going pretty well.
It's been a while since my post as well, aha.

My servers group and I spent over 7 months constructing this city:
The entrance to the main castle.
A semi-low quality image of the top side.
A screenshot of the castle, taken from the cities main farm plot.
A dry dock, used to construct ships safely and send them out by slowly opening the dam walls.
Our main tavern where players mostly go to.
A shot of the two dry docks together, a nice addition to our city.

"Aftermath," my guardian farm, is over to the right in the above picture.
Aftermath up close:
Since starting the guardian farm four and a half months ago, I have stayed within the boundaries of this area called Stonewall. Alas, it is time now to move back home.
LP series? Not my style! Video series? Closer, but not quite. Survival journal, maybe? That's better. Now in Season 4 of the Legends of Quintropolis Journal (<< click to view)!! World download and more can be found there.
Also, here is my afk fish farm.
Learn something new each day
I started a walking dead like world. Increased the zombies and skeletons to an insane level. Try to build a safe town with villagers. So far going pretty well.

I've been working on the end for weeks, transforming it from the yellow dead land to a lush floating island.
