I'm not a big organiser with chests nor do I make enough to store things. I want to make one on this server I play but we have a thief about and I need some really secret chest room layered with obsidian. *sigh* if only pistons could move obsidian.
If you let me on the server I could make you a door thats flush with the wall. Or a new chest room in a random location
Ehh.. I survive deep in the wilds of the jungle, surviving in the tallest tree, i dont have an image on what little storage space i have because of me laying real low, for many players travel right past my hidden home night and day...truly unlucky are those who are a little too curious for their own good, because he"ll come up missing, and his friends might come along and face the same fate,a bullet to the head...
I keep all of my wool underground near my sheep farm that has all 16 colored sheep
I store my food down here inside of my house near my bed and furnaces.
This storage room, which is located underneath of my chicken farm, is for all of my eggs. I have over 8,500 eggs in all of these chests.
My potion ingredients and everything else potion-related are found inside of my potion brewing room which is located behind of my main storage room(pictured below).
This is my main storage room which is located in front of my house. It contains all items that do not belong in the other storage rooms/areas.
That chest room is even better! The only improvements I would make would be to change the floor design. Also instead of having your armor in the chest room, you could make an armory somewhere else and use the extra space in the chest room for more items. Another idea would be to leave the armor chests in the chest room but leave them empty, just to prepare for items that will be added in future updates!

This is my new storage room, I built in on the same site as my old storage room about a month ago. That was the worst experience ever, as I had to move every single item I had...twice. Once to get them out of the old room so that I could build the new room, and again to place them into the new room.
Also, with the 2 item frames for 3 chests, I really didn't think that through too well. No matter, it isn't a big deal.

I have a set of corridors underground lined with double chests to store blocks of all of the ores I got from caving (the signs indicate that I filled the chests, each is the same except for coal, which has chests stacked two high; light comes from retextured glowstone, replacing torches when I had enough):
Here is a view made with Unmined to show the overall layout (you can also see how I've explored virtually all of the caves around me from the lack of water/lava and all of the grey dots, which are torches):
From left to right (top) I have coal, iron, gold, diamond+emerald (one on each side of the same corridor), redstone, lapis and quartz+glowstone; at the bottom I store rails, with a corridor of 64 furnaces to the right (a couple chests for obsidian at the entrance, mostly mined from End pillars when I feel like it) and sticking out to the right is where I store other stuff (mostly chest loot and wool made from cobwebs from around cave spider spawners) and dirt/cobblestone/etc (the small brown rectangle to the left is a Nether wart farm, just to the right are the stairs leading down to the area).
Otherwise, I also have a few chests for tools/armor/food/potions/enchanting(books)/etc upstairs.

The storeroom is mostly functional holding all the bulk item. The high value stuff is kept in the enchanting/brewing room. (3rd pic) (first time posting pics, hope this works)
Why are these such bad quality? They look like you screenshotted them from a youtube video...
This is really funny because it's almost been a year since this was posted and we're still on it. Btw, I did do your storage room, and it's amazing. Too bad I don't play that world anymore, though.

That's a tiny chest room but looks EPIC!
that was just for the special items one i'll show you the real one in just a minute

I made it before trapped chests so the space isn't maximized. If you like it you could check out the rest of that world here: http://imgur.com/a/XNY0H
I usually go to goldencraft or hypixel's

yeah alright then thanks for the advice
Some say it's kinda overkill, but I seriously need this much storage.

What texture pack is that? It looks amazing!
Never mind the storage space, that's a very nice looking area!

Minecraft [Alpha] 1.7.3 had blocks that you can use to build with.
Minecraft now has blocks that you can use to build with.
Nothing has changed in my opinion." That is all.

TheMasterCaver's First World - possibly the most caved-out world in Minecraft history - includes world download.
TheMasterCaver's World - my own version of Minecraft largely based on my views of how the game should have evolved since 1.6.4.
Why do I still play in 1.6.4?
