I was wondering how tall a creeper is, in real life measurements ( or if you can only give me block i can convert it myself, it's easy enough lol )Does anyone know?

Where are the exploding green quadrupedal humanoids?
A Creeper is around the same height as your player.
Assuming that your character is 6 feet tall (making one block's distance three feet), then the Creepers would be around 6 feet tall.
So it's 1.72919136 meters? Therefore its shorter than 2 blocks... Which from what i've observed they're at least 2 blocks high, i might be wrong though

nah, they're shorter than two blocks, dig a hole 2 blocks deep and lure one, you'll see. They are just under 2 blocks. Kinda like steve.

Scary, right?
As far as I've heard notch has said every block is 1 meter. Which means it is approximately 3.2808 feet per block (Which after doing the calculations, I fell kind of stupid posting this, because it's only a matter of a couple of decimals :tongue.gif:)
So, what would be a good number to use if you say... wanted to make a *cough*lifesizecreeper*cough*?

Notch said very early on that the player is exactly 1.7 meters tall, and the creeper skin is the same size, so the creeper is also exactly 1.7 meters tall. That's why they can't get through holes that are 1.5 meters (blocks are one meter, half blocks are .5) tall.
Well i've redone some calculations, And for what i'm planning, saying a creeper is 6 feet tall will make it easiest (its really 5.5somethingsomethingsomething) Which leaves each pixel at 3.6 inches (Pretty big huh?) But anyway, thanks for the help guys!
*EDIT* I've also realized, according to my calculations.... Pixels for mobs are a different size than pixels on a block. Pixel size has to be calculate on an each-mob basis i'm afraid... As the actual pixel size for a creeper when converted back based on the amount of pixels on your standard block returns it roughly a foot short. Sorry if i just confused you with that statement.
*2nd EDIT* Or i could just round a creeper to 5' 5" leaving me with a pixel size of 3.3 inches...

Here is my math:
A Creeper is 26 pixels tall.
A block is 16 pixels tall and the real life equivalent of 1x1x1 meter.
That would mean a Creeper is slightly under two blocks tall, or, 32 pixels, or, 2 meters.
Meaning a Creeper is 26/32 of 2 meters, or 13/16 of 2 meters simplified.
After a few quick calculations I came up with this:
A Creeper is 1.625 meters tall or 1 6/8 meters tall.
In the U.S. Imperial System, this is about 5.331 feet tall.

Technically, each block is a meter, not a yard. Notch said himself that the player is 1.7 blocks, so 1.7 meters. That makes for 5.57742782 feet, or 5-foot-7.
EDIT: Since we're all clearly failing somewhere in that all of our calculators are different, let's just settle for 5-foot-4, since that seems to be the median.

Spot on! Calculated this myself a while ago, was planning on making a 1:1 life-sized creeper. Didn't end up doing it. 'Twould have been great fun - placing it on a friend's doorstep, knocking, then running and hiding behind some bushes. Add a little speaker setup inside to make it hiss...

They may be 1.7 meters now but they were 1.8 meters when the post you are replying to was written.
So it would have been better to have left the thread alone rather than bringing it up to the first page,
Just testing.
