I stuck around my spawn peninsula for the most part. Gathered some random things (dirt, sand, gravel, 'knives' [feathers], etc.). Dug out a two block wide space in between the main land and the peninsula, in hopes of creating a mob farm or something using the ocean water that flowed through. Then I created some walls using the dirt/sand/gravel I gathered which I called my home.
I dug 3 stacks of dirt with my hand and then build a small noob hut and proceeded to upgrade with stone, i didn't know that you could make iron tools so i just played with stone tools all the time. This was back in early alpha so there was not much to do, so i began digging big holes for no reason and just stopped playing for a long time (Came back to it in the beta 1.4 patch)
I watched a lot of videos of Minecraft, and by a lot, I mean a lot. I watched so much that I thought I could play the game instantly and get used to it. That was sorta true. I also thought I knew everything about the game. I was so wrong.
I built a home on top of a mountain but got tired of keep going up and down said mountain for resources, so built stairs. Instead of building on the outside of the mountain though, the stairs it actually went into the mountain from the top. The stairs became so long I nicknamed them the "Stairway - to HELL." I vaguely remember coming out the side of the mountain (Still very high up) and having to try and decide what to do next. I think I double-backed and went back into the mountain in the opposite direction from the end of the first set of stairs. (I think..)
I do not have this world anymore however, I can't remember if I lost or deleted it.

Wow, that was a long time ago. I asked the guy who introduced me to the game if there was any marble so I could build a Greek temple. This was back in alpha, so there were no names for the items. He told me to use block 35 now known as wool) as it was sort of marble.
All I can say now is that it was a good thing it was not a temple to Hephaestus, as that would not have ended well.
EDIT: I also remember at some point believing the spiders could shoot webs that would pull me out of my little house. Still look forward to that feature being added.
When I first bought the game I had no knowledge of it so i just kept on clicking to mine and i didn't know that i had to hold down the mouse button so i raged! and then I walked around and hid in a tiny holy digging with my fists and some sand blocks into the depths, and then I died because I found a mine shaft and a creeper
I kept collecting dirt. After accumulating 64 blocks (I thought it could stack up until 100), I buried myself in the pit that I just dug out and covered myself using the stacks of dirt that I collected.

I started off getting dirt and some wood. Then I decided that I would try to break cobblestone with my hand. It took FOREVER. I can't remember anything else, really, except building a wool treehouse in creative.

First i tried to mine a tree, but i couldn't because i didn't know i had to hold down to mine i thought all you had to do was click it.
Ran around alot, and found some wood blocks on the floor, still dont know how they got there. I made a crafting and a boat, no tools or weapons.
It got night and i hid underground.
In the morning i found some bones and arrows on the ground then i clicked my inventory and looked at the items, then i forgot how to get out of my inventory and a creeper came and killed me.
I dug out a little hallway in the ground in normal mode and stayed there for the night. Afterwards, when I left, I completely lost my dugout and made another one.
Mine was very intresting! I spawned on a beach and mined straight down! Fell into a cave and died from a creeper. I went back to the hole and jumped down. Second death message of game: firespear1000 fell to death. I was smart and did a staircase back to it. 3rd death message of game:
firespear1000 was slain by silverfish. I didnt know strongholds where rare so i left it. 4th death message: firespear1000 fell from a high place whilst fighting zombie. Zombie punched me off a cliff. Intresting, huh?
Watch out for the crabocalypse. Some say the day will never come. But it will.
Feel free to drop by for a chat whenever.
If you'd like to talk with me about other games, here are a few I play.
Team Fortress 2
Borderlands series (Borderlands 2 is my favorite game, ever. TPS combat is a lot of fun and makes up for the lower-quality story, in my opinion)
Elder Scrolls series
Warframe (IGN is something like That_One_Flesh_Atronach)
Pokémon series (HGSS forever)
Rocket League
Fallout series
Left 4 Dead 2 (Boomer files always corrupt though)
SUPERHOT (SUPERHOT is the most innovative shooter I've played in years!)
Dead Rising series (Dead Rising 2 is one of my favorite games, and the 3rd was a lot of fun. 1st has poor survivor AI and the 4th is bad)
Just Cause series
Come to think of it, I mainly play fighting-based games.
I watched a lot of videos of Minecraft, and by a lot, I mean a lot. I watched so much that I thought I could play the game instantly and get used to it. That was sorta true. I also thought I knew everything about the game. I was so wrong.
You can just call me Canary.
How not to look like a total fool in the forum games

I didn't know you needed to hold down the attack button to break anything.
Hooray...
Then I punched a tree to make a crafting table.
Yeah not very original but a great way to kill the noob stage in the egg lol.
