Hey guys! I have recently begun a very redstone-intensive underground "house" (Though it doesn't really look like a house) that is 100% self-sustained. I was wondering if maybe you guys had some ideas as to what I could add?
So far I have:
-Categorized storage
-Day/Night Sensor with redstone lamp display
-A little area with a pond and trees
-Fully Automatic wheat farm
-Farms for every plant (Cactus, Sugar Cane, etc.)
-Egg Farm
-Livestock
You can't make a fully automatic wheat farm; you'd need to replant. But I make a fully automatic melon farm.
Tree farm.
Nether portal room (with some nice design)
A path to your mines
A "living room"
A secret room hidden by a lava flow or accessible by a switch somewhere
A mob arena (feel free to ask for details on how I made mine if you like the idea, but be warned--it's a long process. Hell I might just make a thread)
Make one room have a glass ceiling that shows the sky, undergroud weapon room with monster spawners to try out different weapons and armor, vending machine, self destruct, tnt cannon, ect.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
A wise man once said, that nothing really dies, it just comes back in another form, then he died. So next time you see an ant, it could be him!

The "fully automatic", while not 100% automatic, utilizes 1 dirt block and dispensers that alternate giving you bone meal and seeds, while you sit there holding down right click.

I was actually considering making some sort of window, but in a nearby cliff.. Thanks for the suggestions!
This sounds intense. Mind explaining how you did the day/night sensor? I'd really love to do something like that.
Well grass covered by water dies at night, so you use BUDs to sense that.. Its sort of hard to explain, but its actually surprisingly simple once you understand how it works.
You should make a machine that changes your game mode from creative to survival using command blocks
To get command blocks you have to use the / give command

But anyways, thank you for the suggestions!

And get an enchantment table.
