Hello and welcome to OperativeTripleOne's Objective Based Play Task List. The first task is to build yourself an Objective Temple. This may start out as a dirt hut, and then be ungraded to bigger and better designs as you go along. In this Temple you must EITHER place signs with the challenge on them once you have completed it OR place all of the signs with the challenges on it and place some sort of block [Red-Stone Torch maybe?] by the sign to signal it has been completed. This could be cool in multiplayer as you can hand out Objectives for each of you to complete. Also in the Temple there needs to be three small chests for the resources part of the tasks. I may build a Temple with all the signs in it to be downloaded for use with MCEdit or World Edit.
Please do post what you have achieved using this list below, and please do make it clear should you have used Creative mode/TMI etc…

Build an Obsidian generator. [On the 16th of March 2011, a new way to farm obsidian involving redstone as the only irretrievable source (rather than lava) was discovered. The process involves having a row of running water with a line of redstone next to it and pouring the lava onto the redstone, in-turn, replacing it with obsidian. This method still works in 1.8, even though Notch knows about it.] [GOOD VIDEO: /watch?v=QiQkEpf7-4M] [Works up to 1.9 PR 5, Probably PR 6 as well!]
Build a hotel with 30 rooms of minimal 10x5 space and each room should have 2 paintings, 2 beds, a worktable, a furnace and one bed room. Once you have completed all the challenges above you have successfully completed the Objective Based Play and you can now enjoy your new crazy world and sit back and admire all the effort you put into it! At this point you may chose to remove the Resources items from the Objectives Temple and use them yourself OR you may leave them there as a permanent memorial to your completion of the tasks!
These are pretty good goals, if a new player was hoping for a set of things to accomplish, by the end of this they would be doing okay. Lucky me, has all this done.
Yes they are designed for a new world and a player that doesn't know what to do so they can learn a fair bit about what you can do in the game. However it is good for experienced players just to give them a set of goals to work towards! :smile.gif:
I wouldn't even know what to do with 20 rooms, let alone 50.
I had a 10 room house (well lit, the floors and ceilings were made of glowstone) and monsters kept spawning. So, I blew up the house and stayed with my one room full of necessities. Literally, I have a 3 room house now, and I'm only using 2 rooms... one's just completely empty... well with the exception of the hole to the basement, and the stairs to the attic (or otherwise known as my room xD)
So, really, to go off of your comment, I don't know what to do with one room, let alone 10 :wink.gif:
i was getting bored of minecraft, and i wanted more of a challenge, so this was perfect and it gives me an excuse to be on my computer longer haha. thanks man! (: i might post pictures of my progress! i'll link when im done!
