Episode 8 of Missy Hollow! Today's episode is going to be a little short. But I hope you guys still enjoy.
♥ Episode 8: Carrot Theif and Animal Collecting! ♥
Today's Mission: Finish building my Barn and start collecting animals to put inside. Seems like an easy enough mission... Only problem I have with this mission is that I have to roof the Barn... Crap, I forgot about that. But, having a roofless Barn would just look silly. So let's go get this roofing over and done with....
Hard work certainly pays off! It feels like it has been a decade, but I have finally finished my Barn! Inside and out. The roof, I'm actually quite proud of. I really like the way it turned out, especially with the windows. This is probably my favourite Barn I have built in a while... I have built some terrible Barns in my time of playing Minecraft. This is probably one of my better ones. *Pats self on back*
Now, about the inside... It's a little bit dark in there right now. We can't have zombies spawning in there with my animals. No, that doesn't sound pleasant... So it's time for glowstone. And lots of it. Luckily, I have been making frequent trips to the Nether (as much as I hate going there), so I have a nice little collection of glowstone in storage right now.
I have put some glowstone on the floor. Inside the pens, as well as outside. I even made the effort to pillar up to the roof with dirt and place some glowstone there. It was totally worth it though, I think it looks really good. So with all this glowstone, plus the torches I have placed, I think this should be enough lighting. No monsters will be spawning in my Barn.
I introduce to you my first culprits!! I found two wooly white sheep wandering around in the Roofed Forest and lured them back to my Barn with some delicious wheat. The stupid sheep couldn't resist the yummy looking wheat, and walked right into my trap. Now they are mine forever! *Evil Laugh*... Ahem, sorry... Got a bit carried away.
I have already started breeding them, and they popped out a cute little bubba sheep. So tinyy!
Now... If I want to collect some piggies, I'm going to need carrots. I currently do not have any carrots growing in my little farm, and I do not have any in storage. But luckily, I do know somewhere I can get these carrots from...
THE VILLAGE! I knew setting a waypoint here was a good idea. I'm sure these Villagers won't mind if I steal... I mean buorrow some of thier lovely carrots... Don't worry little Villagers, it's for a good purpose. Those piggies that I have seen wandering around near my house look like they need fattening up....
Before I go and try to lure pigs into my Barn, I think I should plant some of these carrots in my little farm.
I have just spent a little bit of time expanding out my farm and I have planted one row of carrots. This should be enough. If it's not, well I guess I will be doing more expanding. I still have a few carrots leftover that I am now going to use to get some little piggies!
Hehe! These little fellas also couldn't resist the amazing smelll of the carrots... They fell right into my trap as well. I got two of them, and bred them together. Now there is an adorable little baby piggie running around in there with them.
You may notice that there is a severe lack of one particular animal... Yes, I am still missing the cows. Unfortunately, I have not seen a single cow wandering around this Roofed Forest. I even went over to the Forest Biome that's just nextdoor, but also didn't have any luck finding cows... It's like they know what's coming for them, so they have run and hidden... Ah well, I will find some eventually. I just hope it's not going to be too much of a mission....
Episode 8 Complete! Please keep leaving feedback on how you like this Journal so far! I'm having a lot of fun making these posts everyday! Thanks for stopping by!
Sorry today's Episode is a little late going up. I was really busy!
♥ Episode 9: Twilight Forest and Dog Garden? ♥
I really cannot decide what I want to do with myself today. Do I want to build a Chicken Coop? (that is something that I really need to do), do I want to go on a massive hunt for some cows to keep in my Barn? (No that's so boring and painful..), do I want to revamp my house? (Hmmm, too much work...) Oh, I know what I could do! I do believe I have all the resources for it... Yes, yes I do. OK Yay! I think today, I want to make a Portal to the Twilight Forest!
It has taken me a ridiculous amount of time to try and decide where I want to put this Portal. But, I finally decided on a nice little spot next to my house. First thing I need to do, is dig out a little square in the ground and full it with water.
Before I actually activate the Portal, I think I'm going to make a pretty little pathway leading down to it. I'm just using a mixture of spruce stairs, Spruce wood planks and log and some gravel to make this path. I also made little lights using glowstone and Spruce fencing so that it's not so dark and creepy looking. I apologize for the rain in this picture. I was too lazy to do the clear weather command.
I have even gone as far as making this little decorative thing over the top of the Portal. I used Spruce fencing and made some pretty hedges with yellow flowers in them from the Flowercraft mod. I have added Poppies and Dandelions around the Portal. This is not to make it look pretty, this is a step that needs to be done to activate it. You have to use Vanilla Minecraft flowers I believe. I'm pretty sure you can also use mushrooms, but I just used whatever I had in my inventory.
Now, just because I was getting a little carried away, I fenced off the Portal with this hedge fencing you can make from the Mr Crayfish Furniture mod. I think it looks cute. OK, I'm done decorating now I promise. (I'm such a girl, holy crap...) Let's actually get this thing going. In order for it to work, I need to throw a diamond into the water.... Which means using yet another one of my precious diamonds... But it's going to be totally worth it!
Now, if I have done this all correctly, when I throw the diamond into the water, it should create a lighting bolt, which is going to hit the water and turn it all purple and magical looking... also turning into the Twilight Forest Portal!
I DID IT! And look at where I have spawned!!! I am sooo happy to have spawned here! This is exactly the kind of Biome I was hoping to find once I was in the Twilight Forest... And I didn't even need to look for one. How lucky is that?!
I have set a waypoint to my Portal so I can easily come back to it when I'm ready to return home again. This Biome is absolutely beautiful. It's called a Mushroom Forest. I think it's supposed to be one of the really rare Biomes in Twilight Forest... I can see why.
Here are some more pictures of this amazing place. I cannot wait to explore more of this in the future... It's just so god damn pretty. I have fallen in love already. The other Biome I would like to try and find at some stage is FireFly Forest.... That one is also superrr pretty. But Mushroom Forest is hands down my favourite Biome in Twilight Forest.
Now, you are probably wondering why I decided to make the Twilight Forest Portal. Well, there are a couple of reasons...
♥ First one been, it's a stunning place with tons of things to explore and do.
♥ I also am thinking I want to put my big girl panties on and maybe try and fight some of the bosses that this place has. I don't remember how many there are exactly, but I have never fought any of them, because I am a big wuss. (That might also explain why I have never fought the Ender Dragon as well... I know, I'm terrible.)
♥ The final reason I wanted to make this Portal is because... I wanted to live in the Twilight Forest. This place was going to be the official Missy Hollow! I was going to live right here in the Mushroom Forest. I was going to build a huge enchanted Twilight Mansion type thing to live in... Well, I was going to try anyways. We all know how terrible I am at building. And I was going to make the entire area around it all pretty and magical and I would have started Ars Magaica and all of that... But now, I don't even know if I want to do that now.. I have become really hooked to my little area in the Roofed Forest back in the Overworld, that I'm really not sure I want to move out. Maybe in the future, when I get bored of my home in the Overworld, I will come and live in the Twilight Forest... But for now, I'm really happy living in my little Roofed Forest aka Missy Hollow....
As beautiful as this place is, I don't think I'm ready to move in here just quite yet. Maybe in the future, but for now I'm really content where I am. I really love my little Missy Hollow! ♥
Onto a different subject. I have come back into the Overworld and I have just had an idea. My little dog Schnitzel needs his own area to live in. I think he's probably getting pretty bored of been cooped up in my house. Plus, I intend on collecting a lot more dogs from the DoggyStyle mod, and I clearly cannot keep them all in my house so... I have made this little staircase that goes underground. I have just had this idea that I want to make an underground doggie garden! I have a vision in my head of what I want it to look like.
I have hollowed out this big circular room to start. And I'm going to turn this into a enchanted looking garden type area for my dogs to live. If I need to, I have decided that I can always make more of these circular rooms if it gets too cramped in here with dogs.
But I really like this idea I have and I cannot wait to get it finished! I think Schnitzel will really enjoy having all this space to run around in! I just hope it's going to come out as pretty and enchanting as I have invisioned in my head....
Yay! So, I finally made a Twilight Forest Portal! What do you guys think of the idea of me living in the Twilight Forest eventually? I think it would be pretty cool. Since I have never lived anywhere else other than the Overworld in Minecraft. Hope you guys enjoyed this Episode! Thanks for stopping by!
We are now into double digits for Episodes! Welcome to Episode 10!
♥ Episode 10: Let there be Chickens! + Enchanted Doggie Garden! ♥
Today's Mission: Obtain Chickens! I have decided that I need to start collecting and breeding Chickens. They are very useful. I mainly want them for their eggs, because Pam's Harvestcraft lets you make quite a few recepies with them.
Let's gather some supplies and build ourselves a little Chicken Coop!
Here is the little area I'm going to be building this Chicken Coop. It's next to the Barn. It's also a fair distance from my house because I do not want to hear Chickens clucking and quacking every 2 seconds. I unfortunately will need to get rid of a couple of trees before I start building though.
I have made a little Base for the Chicken Coop. Again using Dark Oak log and Spruce planks. I am using this combo of woods a lot because it has become my favourite mix of woods! Especially in this Texture Pack. Your probably thinking, that's not going to be a very big Chicken Coop. But bare with me, you will see in a second that the little Chickens will have plenty of space to run around.
Stairs! Thought these might be useful so that the chickens can actually get in and out of the Chicken Coop. Again using Spruce wood for the stairs.
After a lot of indecisive building and arguing with myself, I have managed to build the walls and roof and add a little decoration to the floor using those pretty yellow hedges from FlowerCraft. I also added Glowstone to the roof as a source of light. I think it's turned out really cute! All my arguements with myself about the design paid off it seems.
Tada! I present to you my Chicken Coop! I told you the chickens are going to have plenty of space to run around. I have added a little fenced in section using Spruce fences. This should be plenty of space. I'm really happy with the overall outcome of this little Chicken Coop. Now, all we are missing is some little chickens to trap... I mean keep inside....
Found some two chickens wandering around in the nearby Forest. One of them seemed to be taking a nice dip in the lake. But, he completely forgot all about his afternoon swim when he saw I had some yummy looking seeds in my hand. I managed to get both of these little critters safely into the Chicken Coop and bred them together to get the Population started.
Side Note: The Chicken's eyes... their red... It gives me the creeps a bit. I'm guessing the person who made this Texture Pack wanted to give the Chickens a demonic look... I must admit I don't really like Chickens in real life. They do scare me a little bit.. So I actually think the red eyes suit them perfectly.
Onto a new subject. I have finished my Enchanted Doggie Garden! I think it came out absolutely adorable and so magical feeling! I for the first time, used Redstone Lamps for some of the lighting. I cannot believe I have never used these things before... they are so cool! Plus they look amazing in this Texture Pack. I have added purple and blue hedges around the sides and put flowers everywhere. I also did my little putting logs and planks in the floor trick. Overall, I am beyond happy with how this turned out! Now it's time to grab Schnitzel and see what he thinks!
Brought little Schnitzel down into the Enchanted Doggie Garden using some leads I quickly crafted after remembering I had some slimeballs to do so. You might be wondering... wait, who is the larger grey dog?? Well....
Everybody, meet Stitch! Stitch is my newest member to my little family! I thought it was about time Schnitzel had a little friend to run around with. Stitch is a Weimaraner! I thought he was super cute and I loved his little blue eyes. Welcome to the family Stitch. I hope you like your new home. And don't worry, soon this Enchanted Doggie Garden is going to have tons of little puppies running and jumping around in the this magical little Garden....
Another Episode done and dusted. I hope that was enjoyable to read and feedback on this Journal is always welcome! Thanks for stopping by!
The title of this Episode says it all. I am pretty bored of the current space I live in. I also just noticed a couple of days ago how stupid it actually looks. At first, I thought it looked fine, not that bad. You know I could cope with it. But now, I come to my senses a little bit, I have realized that it is really quite weird looking and I don't like it at all anymore. I thought about maybe just expanding it, and maybe trying to get the shape to look better that way. Maybe adding a second story as well for extra space... Well... I did change the shape... and add a second story...
AAHHH! IT'S GONE! Oops... I was so mad at myself for creating such a monstrosity that I have just teared the whole thing down. It took me a fair amount of time, and the amount of iron axes I went through to get it all teared down was ridiculous. But now I have a blank canvas. I can start fresh with a brand new idea. You can't see it, but I have a shiz ton of chests filled with all my crap to the right side, next to my Barn... I'm really not looking forward to the day when I have to organize it all and put it away properly...
Anyways, I need to get my creative juices flowing.. (ew, wait why did I say that?) and start building!!
I'm not even going to admit how long it took me to come up with a layout for my new house. I'm pathetic really. This layout took so long for me to think about. And even when I had thought about it, I still took a billion years to actually bring it to life. I was constantly readjusting the shape and moving the front door around, doing all these little tweaks... But I think I have finally come to a shape I am happy with. I have added the front door with some Glass around it already.
And now there are walls! I'm going with the same woods that I used for my other house. Dark Oak and Spruce. I have managed to get some windows in there too. This is only just the beginning really though. I have decided I want a two story house. (Why in the world I decided on this is beyond me. It just means more work and more of me sitting there like a stunned goose trying to come up with a good layout.) I think I have an idea of how I want the second story to look, just give me a minute (And by a minute, I mean 10 million years).
Making some hella good progress here! I have added the second story, which I decided was just going to be on the one side of the house. I have even started the roofing! I'm actually quite pleased with the roofing. It's probably one of my better jobs. It doesn't look like complete crap. (Well at least I hope it doesn't... You guys might think otherwise.) I am aware that that obnoxious tree is kinda in the way of my house... But I kinda don't want to get rid of it... I feel like I have chopped down enough trees around here. So I'm not touching that one.
20 years later, and I have a finished house! I am sooo happy with how this turned out! I even made a little balcony as you can see. This was 100% worth all the blood, sweat and tears I put into it. I still need to add the flooring inside and do a whole bunch of decorating. But I think that's going to be saved for another day. For right now, I'm just glad I actually built something I am actually proud of. (Even if it probably looks like a pile of poo to those professional Minecraft builders out there...)
Let's finish off this long day of building by adding another little friend to my Enchanted Doggie Garden. This is Poppi! Isn't she cute? I think she's going to get along great with Schnitzel and Stitch.
Well, I am so glad to finally have built myself a brand new place to live. It is certainly an upgrade from the weirdly shaped, stupid looking house I was living in before. But I'm pooped, so it's off to sleep for me. Tomorrow is an exciting day of decorating and maybe even more doggie taming....
So, how do you guys like my new house? I'm very happy with it! Stay tuned for tomorrow's Episode where we decorate the inside and make it feel like a proper home!
Today's Episode is all about decorating my new house! Enjoy!
♥ Episode 12: Interior Designing at it's finest! ♥
I'm not sure if you will be able to tell or not, but the title has a slight hint of sarcasm in it. I do not feel as if I am the greatest at interior stuff when it comes to Minecraft, so we shall see how this goes. I'm excited to fill this new house with Furniture though. It's so bare and boring at the moment. Lets bring some life to it!
Before we dive into the world of interior decorating, I would like to introduce you to yet another new Member to the Enchanted Doggie Garden! I just cannot stop myself from taming all the cute dogs once I start. This is little Hiro! He's a little Siberian Husky. He's flipping adorable and I love him already. Now, we have actually reached the limit of dogs I was wanting to put in this little Garden. I had set a Limit of 4 dogs. Just because the space isn't really big enough for much more than that. Mainly because of the kennels. They tend to take up a lot of space. So, in the near furture, I shall be making a new Doggie Garden right next to this one! I think I will try and make it bigger, so I can fit more dogs/kennels.
TEXTURE PACK CHANGE ABOUT TO HAPPEN! I know I pretty much only just switched to this Wolfhound Fantasy Texture Pack. I do love it very much, but I found this new one that I'm really loving and I wanted to use it for a while. But who knows, maybe I will end up coming back to Wolfhound Fantasy. This new Texture Pack is called Dragon Dance. I'm really liking it so far!
So, it's time for a little House Tour of the brand new house in Missy Hollow! When you come in the door, I have set up this little Furnace area with four furnaces. I tried to make it look nice with some Spruce wood/stairs. I also added this really pretty carpet from the Chisel mod. I am a huge fan of the colour pink, so this carpet is an absolute must in my new house. By the front door I have a little table from BiblioCraft with a cute little Decocraft bunny perched on top.
Turning to the right from the front door, you will see this little area that I put some Spruce shelving in because I wanted a bunch of shelving to display any cool looking items I collect. As you can see, I have already added some awesome stuff I have found while adventuring. I also have my DecoBench, a normal Crafting Bench, and the thing on the right of the shelves is called a Crafting Pillar! It's from the Crafting Pillars mod! It's a really cool mod, I will hopefully get around to showing you guys how that works soon.
Turn around a little, and you will see my cute little Kitchen! This is probably my favourite part of my house. All of those bits and pieces that you see on the shelves are things that you need to make certain foods in Pam's HarvestCraft. So I have crafted them all already so that they are ready to go when I need them. I have also added a nice little Bin in the corner from Mr Crayfish Furniture. Thought it would be handy for getting rid of stuff I don't need. It's basically like the safe version of a lava pit. (Safe because you can't fall into it accidentally...)
If you come out into the main area a little bit and look up, you will see these two ladders leading up to a little platform. I have been meaning to add some fencing along it, but I haven't got around to it yet.
The little platform currently has nothing on it. Mainly because I can't think of anything to put up here. (Suggestions are welcome if you have any ). I have an idea to maybe store some chests up here with some esstienal materials that I always need to have... But I'm still not sure yet.
If you go out the little door, you can acsess my balcony! Which I think is another favourite part of my house. I have a nice little view of my area, and I added some seating and a table from BiblioCraft as a nice little touch.
Turning to the left of my front door you come into my little lounging area! I have a little dining room table and chairs set up in the corner which I mainly put there because it wouldn't have fit in the Kitchen. Plus I needed something to fill in that space.
I also have my little Decocraft purple couch. (It's the same one from my old house. I have purple because it matched the Wolfhound Fantasy Texture Pack quite nicely... Now that I have changed Texture Packs, I'm not sure purple is as nice. Maybe I should switch to white.) I've got my little TV and a bedside table with a really cool clock that I found from BiblioCraft. It actually ticks and makes noise!
If you swing around from the dining table, I have another two ladders going up to a second floor. This is where my bedroom is. On the right, you can also see some tool racks that I made. I was getting sick of constantly carrying around random tools that I did not need. So I made those tool racks to hold everything I'm not using.
Here's my cosy little bedroom! Again, the bed is purple because of my previous Texture Pack... Might be needing a new colour for that too. I have two bedside tables and a wardrobe. The wardrobe, I plan to store Armour in that I'm not using.
That's it. That's my entire house! I'm really happy with how it has turned out, even though I am no expert when it comes to building or interior decorating. But it's cute and pretty cosy, so that makes me happy anyways.
So, how do you guys like my brand new, fully decorated home? I'm pretty obsessed with it. Thanks for stopping by!
I know exactly what I want to accomplish today. I want horses! It's been something that's been at the back of mind for a while now. I love having horses in Minecraft. They make great transport, and they are all round just adorable animals. I happen to have quite the collection of saddles from several adventures I have been on. I have obtained saddles from Desert Temples, and a couple of Spider Spawners that I have found while mining. Before I can go taming a bunch of horses though, it might be a good idea to build a Stables. I already know exactly where I want to put it.
Does anything look a little different to you guys? Remember that massive cave that was smack bang in the middle of this place? Well, you can clearly see it's gone now. I covered it up. I had already explored pretty much the entire cave, so there wasn't much point in keeping it there anymore. It was extremely useful to have if I needed Iron or Coal super quick, but after a while, it just became an inconvenince, and I noticed that I was running out of building space because of it. So it has been covered over.
Here is the area which I am going to attempt to build a decent looking Stables. I hope it turns out OK. I won't be able to make it too big, because it will start to interfere with the area where you go down underground to get to my Enchanted Doggie Garden. I have an idea of what I want these Stables to look like, let's get this thing built. I'm eager to tame some cute horses!
Finished making the layout. It's very square... Oh well, I'm not going through a whole bunch of trouble to change it and try to make it a different shape. Maybe if I ever need to expand, I will do something with the shape, but for now I'm perfectly happy with a square Stables. Makes it extremely easy to roof anyways.
I have also laid out the pens for the horses on the inside. I managed to get three equal pens in that were of a decent size. I should think that will be plenty of space.
Walls and windows have been placed. I have also added fence gates at the front for extra precaution. Mainly so that random mobs don't decide to go and hide in there to escape the sunlight. I also added two extra pens, as you can hopefully see. They are not as fancy looking as the other three, but I decided three pens just wasn't going to cut it. So I now have five. I just need to remember to add fence gates to those two extra pens.
I present to you, my brand new Stables in all it's squarish glory! I think I'm going to do some work on that roof... I'm not sure I like it as much. But, right now I'm totally over constructing and building, so that's going to be saved for a later date. Overall, I'm happy with the build and I really just want to get some little horsies in there now!
Here's a little peek at what the inside looks like. I did my usual, adding wood logs and planks to the floor to make it look nice. Of course, we needed some light up in here, so I added the glowstone as well. The shelving on the wall there, is going to be used to hold saddles and armour and probably food. I might need to make some for the wall opposite as well, because I don't think that's going to be enough shelves.
Finished the build. Now it's time for the good part! I need to go on a little adventure and find me some horsey friends. I have some saddles and apples in my inventory ready to go. I have also crafted a couple of leads as a just in case thing. Now I think I know exactly where to find my first pony friend....
Ahah! I have found this noble steed roaming around just outside the Roofed Forest I live in. Isn't she a beauty? Nice black horse with white socks... well they look like white socks to me. It took a few tries to get this steed tamed. I used nearly all of my apples. She's a stubborn one. But it was a sucess in the end, and I was able to mount her and pop a saddle on her. Now I have my first horse! I already know what I want to name this lovely horse, I just need to obtain some name tags and make an anvil. So for now, this little cutie shall remain un-named.
I have put my black horse away in my new Stables. Went out to look for another horse to join her, and it didn't take me long! I headed back to where I found the black one, and not far from there was this lovely brown one! She has white socks on too! She was a little less of a pain to tame, and I managed to have her tamed and mounted in seconds. Well, off to the Stables we go!
Feeling very accomplished and happy. I now have two beautiful horses in my possession and a nice little Stables to house them in. Things are looking good here in Missy Hollow. I am excited for what tomorrow will bring....
Yay! It's always nice to have a couple of horsey friends in Minecraft! How did you like that Episode? How is everyone enjoying my Journal so far? I'm trying my best to make it as interesting and entertaining as possible! Thanks for stopping by!
I just want to quickly apologize for been a little MIA for the past couple of days. I'm not happy that I have broken my streak of posting an episode everyday, but things happen and I just have not had the time to make episodes recently. So, enough of this welcome to Episode 14!
♥ Episode 14: Upgrades and Animal Taming! ♥
Today, I'm a little bit all over the place. I really don't know what I want to acheive today. So, since I'm so scatter brained, I think I'm just going to do a bunch of random stuff around here and hope that it makes me feel as if I have accomplished something. I have already thought of the first thing I should really do... Build myself a storage room. I have had all my chests filled with stuff sitting outside by my Barn for way too long. It's about time that was changed.
Since there is no space in my new house for a bunch of chests to be placed, I'm thinking I'm going to go underground for this storage room... Now just give me a few years while I mine it all out...
Slow progress been made here. Very slow. I really hate mining out large rooms underground, so I did procrastinate digging this room out quite a lot. But it's finally complete, and I have added the wooden walls, floor and celing, I think it looks really nice. I made it quite big, because I know I'm going to be needing a lot of chests. Better to make it bigger and have too many chests, than make it too small and not have enough room for your too many chests... if you get what I'm saying.
I made these fireplace type things with my furnaces, because I wanted to be a bit more creative and try something a little different. I think they turned out great though. I have two of them, one on each wall. Both fireplaces contain 6 furnaces. So that should be more than enough. (Plus the four that I also have upstairs).
Slowly, but surely I have started to add in some double chests. Starting with the wall on the left, am going to fill that up with chests before putting any on the opposite wall. Should probably start organizing and putting things in said chests as well. This is the part I really hate, but it needs to be done.
I have done it! I have now got a fully functional and organized storage room. I cannot tell you how happy I am to have this completed. I used stairs and put them upside down on the walls, so that I could store more chests on top of them. Thought it was a good idea, and it looks great. If your wondering what that door is for/where it leads to at the opposite end of the room, you will find out in the next couple of Episodes.
Because I'm a nutter, and I cannot help myself I have gone ahead and tamed a third horse! I found this lovely light brown, spotted steed roaming around a Plains Biome that's not too far from where I live. Decided I needed her in my life, and popped back home to get a saddle and some apples. She was pretty easy with taming, and I had her home and safely locked away in my Stables in no time. I cannot wait to accumulate some name tags, so that I can actually give these pretty horses some names!
Speaking of my nuttiness, and sheer obsession with animals, I have finally added an expansion onto my Enchanted Doggie Garden! I made it a lot bigger, so that I could fit more dogs in there. I have a plan to keep roughly 8 doggies in total in this Garden. I am really loving making these Gardens. I just think they look so pretty!
Didn't take me long to find a little friend to be added to the brand new Garden. This is little Bento! He's a Jack Russell Terrier. I thought he was too cute. Welcome to the family Bento! He's going to be a bit lonely in the new Garden by himself for a bit, but never fear... it won't take me long to find another little dog that I cannot resist and must add to the gang.
The last thing that has been on my mind, that I have been meaning to do is make a sugar cane farm! I have made this little wee one right next to my Cacti farm. I made it with the same layout as the Cacti, but I put water in the gaps so that the sugar canes will grow.
Feeling pretty accomplished! Got a lot done, and I'm happy with how everything turned out! Gonna head off to bed now, and start fresh with a brand new day in Missy Hollow tomorrow!
Feels good to finally have Episode 14 out. I should be back into the swing of posting everyday now! Thanks for stopping by!
Just wanted to mention that I have removed Adventure Backpacks, because for some strange reason it wasn't working for me anymore. So if you are wondering why I suddenly never talk about Adventure Backpacks or craft them, that's why. I do miss the mod though, so I am going to try and fix the issues and maybe it will make a reappearance.
♥ Episode 15: Farms and Barn rearranging! ♥
I have some important chores to do today. I call them chores, because they are probably my least favourite things to do in Minecraft. The first thing I need to do is make a big Farm for all of the Pam's HarvestCraft crops. This has been sitting on my to do list for a while. The reasons I have left it for so long are because I don't like Farming and put it off as much as possible, and also because I was pretty content living off porkchops and bread. But now, I have decided I don't want to continue that bland and boring diet. So let's get Farming.
I have found this nice little area where I shall be placing said Farm. I had to do a bit of work on the land, and remove some unwanted trees. I'm really hoping and praying that I don't have to remove that Mushroom. It's so pretty and we all know how I feel about giant mushrooms after my first trip to the Twilight Forest.
Managed too fence off a decent sized area using some good old Spruce fence. I also made a cute little archway. Just makes it a bit more exciting to look at. And of course, as I feared the mushroom is right in the way of where I am planning on putting crops. Crap... what do I do? Re-locate my Farm? No.. that seems like to much work just because of a Mushroom... Ahh I'm so conflicted.
R.I.P Mushroom... It hurt to take it down, but it had to be done. Here is my completed farm with a bunch of Pam's HarvestCraft crops planted. Do not ask me what is in there, because I wouldn't have a clue. I kinda just grabbed whatever I had out of a chest that has been lying around by my wheat and carrot farm and planted it all. I have made a double chest and put it close by to keep any extra crops in. I also have decided the chest will make a great home for my hoe.
I don't know why I felt the need to add a bunch of pink hedges over the top of my Farm, but that happened.... I'm kinda of 50/50 about how it looks. Can't decide if I like it or not. But I'm just going to leave it for now, and if it really starts to bug me, it's easily removable with some shears.
While this whole long and annoying process of putting together this Farm was going on, I ran into this guy. He must have been lurking around in a nearby cave that I have seen over this way. I guess he decided to come make friends. Sorry buddy, I have no interest in been friends with a Zombie. This is the first mob that I have seen in this world so far that is rocking some stylish armour. Look at this guy with his enchanted leather chestplate. He didn't give me any of his armour once I had slaughtered him with my sword. But he did leave me some rotten flesh. How delightful.
I have finally come to the conclusion, that potatoes are a must have in my Farm. So just when I thought I had escaped the boring chore of Farming, I remember that I want to add Potatoes to my Wheat and Carrot Farm. So time for another extension. I was kinda running out space to make this extension, but I think I made it work. There is only one row of Potatoes, because of the space issue, but that's OK. I don't need too many. Just enough to make some of the yummy looking recipies from Pam's HarvestCraft.
I'm starting to feel a bit sorry for those Villagers though... I keep popping over there to steal all their crops.... They probably won't want me back in a hurry. I basically stripped all their farms of Potatoes.
Onto my next chore, which was finally getting some Cows for my Barn. I have been putting this off for so long, but I gave in today and decided it needed to be done, because I have started to desperately need things like Leather and Milk. And I don't want to have to travel far and wide just to get those two things, so Cows need to become a part of my Barn.
It took me a thousand years, but I have hunted down two cows from near my Spawn Point. It was a real mission getting them home in one piece. They also kept losing interest in the wheat and buggering off to go eat some grass. I was so ready to just slaughter them and give up, but I trooped on. I must say it was worth it. Now I have endless supplies of steak, leather and milk.
You may notice that the Cows have been put in the pen where the Piggies originally used to be. I decided that shoving both animals in there would probably be a bit much, and I felt cruel to do so. So I removed all the piggies except two... Erm R.IP to the rest, but I wasn't about to try and lure 15 piggies out of that pen and into an even smaller one... not after the whole Cow Fiasco.
My poor little Piggies are now confined to this tiny area next to the cows. I won't be doing to much breeding with these guys, or it's going to get ridiculously cramped in there.
Say hello to Primrose the Corgi! I have added another furry friend to the Enchanted Doggie Garden. I found little Primrose wandering around the Roofed Forest I live in and I had to have her. I managed to tame her and get her safely back to the Garden. I think she is really liking it here so far. I gave her her Doggie House as well, right next to little Bento. Bento now finally has a friend!
Cannot believe I have already made 15 Episodes of Missy Hollow! I'm excited to make and post more though! I have a lot of fun playing in this world and sharing with you all everything that I do. I hope anyone who reads this is enjoying it! Thanks for stopping by!
Long time no talk! Unfortunately, this is not going to be a proper Episode, but more of an update to just let you know what's happening with this Journal.
As you may have noticed, I have not made an Episode for 4 days now. Which is very naughty of me, considering I said I was going to post everyday. The main reason I have not been active with this Journal, is because I have become a little bored of my World. This tends to happen a lot, and it usually results in me deleting the World and starting fresh. Which I really do not want to do with Missy Hollow.
Basically, I have lost the motivation to play in the world, therefore I have no Journal Episodes for you all. Which I feel pretty bad about but that's just how it is. I have been taking a bit of a break from Missy Hollow because of this, and I have been playing in one of my other Modded Survival Worlds. I hope you all don't mind. I'm not sure how much longer this break is going to last.... I can't give you an exact time. I guess it will last until I feel the motivation to play again. I'm really sorry for anyone that was really enjoying this Journal. I promise I'm going to come back to it... I just don't know when that will be.
Once again, I'm sorry to anyone that was enjoying reading. I hope to be back into the swing of things soon.
No worries. Games should be fun and if you aren't enjoying yourself there is no point in forcing it. You can always post pictures of your other worlds in the What Have You Done Lately thread if you ever want to share but don't want to do a full journal. Best of luck in the new worlds.
Hello!
I'm sure these Villagers won't mind if I
steal... I mean buorrow some of thier lovely carrots... Don't worry little Villagers, it's for a good purpose. Those piggies that I have seen wandering around near my house look like they need fattening up....Before I go and try to lure pigs into my Barn, I think I should plant some of these carrots in my little farm.

Hi!

Hi!
Now, all we are missing is some little chickens to
trap... I mean keep inside....Found some two chickens wandering around in the nearby Forest.

Hey Hey!
Episode 11 is a short one, but a good one. Enjoy!
♥ Episode 11: Minecraft Home Makeover! ♥
Missy xoxo.
Hi Hi!
Missy xoxo.
Hello!
♥ Episode 13: I'm a Crazy Horse Lady. ♥

Hii!

Storage room looks great. Keep up the great work.
Heyy!
Missy xoxo.
Hello!
Missy xoxo.
No worries. Games should be fun and if you aren't enjoying yourself there is no point in forcing it. You can always post pictures of your other worlds in the What Have You Done Lately thread if you ever want to share but don't want to do a full journal. Best of luck in the new worlds.
