Hey guys! How many screenshots do you guys have? I know, a weird thing to ask. I used to have way more than 5000+ screenshots, but it caused major lag. I delete them ALL and I must say, that lot of screenshots causing lag was like having a slow computer! Now, I'm free from my curse. Thanks to my mom suggesting I delete my 5000+ screenshots! So now, i'll only take screenshots of memorable occasions.
I have some old ones, accidental ones, two "What have you done recently?" threads to post in (If you didn't know I posted a Creative version of it.) and an ongoing Survival journal. So I probably have a lot.
682. I have 682 as of 9/21/2016.

Watch out for the crabocalypse. Some say the day will never come. But it will.
Feel free to drop by for a chat whenever.
If you'd like to talk with me about other games, here are a few I play.
Team Fortress 2
Borderlands series (Borderlands 2 is my favorite game, ever. TPS combat is a lot of fun and makes up for the lower-quality story, in my opinion)
Elder Scrolls series
Warframe (IGN is something like That_One_Flesh_Atronach)
Pokémon series (HGSS forever)
Rocket League
Fallout series
Left 4 Dead 2 (Boomer files always corrupt though)
SUPERHOT (SUPERHOT is the most innovative shooter I've played in years!)
Dead Rising series (Dead Rising 2 is one of my favorite games, and the 3rd was a lot of fun. 1st has poor survivor AI and the 4th is bad)
Just Cause series
Come to think of it, I mainly play fighting-based games.
Right now I have, uh... 91,180 screenshots.... It became a really bad habit I guess. I used to have over 200,000 before I deleted like half of them to free up space. o.o
I currently only have 64 since I got a new computer a month ago and I didn't bother saving them; I've also deleted them before.
Here is the most recent one that I took, of a very crowded chicken pen (though still much better than a 1x1 space, which will also no longer be viable in 1.11):
Also, this is the most recent screenshot of 17 in my Mod Coder Pack installation, of a couple new biomes I recently added to my mod TMCW (Desert M and Oasis; basically my own version of the vanilla biome which only has water lakes and no villages or desert temples; cacti also generate (and grow) up to 6 blocks tall instead of 3):
I also have another folder which contains various Minecraft-related images, not necessarily screenshots, which currently only has 7 images, not counting the 12 renderings that I have of various worlds (most of which no longer exist); here is the latest one, which compares my first world to another one of my worlds to show just how much larger the former is:
I have ones going back to when I first started playing Minecraft, back in Nov 2010.
I have 786 in my first two worlds, all played from Alpha 1.22_01 through Minecraft 1.2.5.
I have another 202 from my 1.2.5 modded world with the mods from Direwolf20's season 4, and another 388 from the 1.2.5 modded series where I added Better Dungeons and Adventure items, and removed Thaumcraft, Forestry and the Laser mod (I later added Forestry back to that instance).
In my 1.4.7 modded world, I have 249, in my 1.6.4 world 134, and in my current 1.7.10 world, only 14.
My earliest screenshot, taken at the default resolution (both screen size and the default texture pack as they were called then) back in Alpha 1.22:
Approximately 11,719 from Sept 2010 (Alpha 1.1.2_01) to present across 20 folders (Screenshots + different world folders) and 60 sub-folders. This includes both normal Minecraft and ones from packs using the technic launcher.

How good is your new computer? And just to stay on topic, how many screenshots can it hold?
Just letting you guys know, the more screenshots, the more LAG. But geez, that is a lot of screenshots
I have 42 screenshots, usually taken in my SSP world. After I post them on my survival journal, which you can check out in my signature, I routinely delete them. I've never been a hoarder of pictures, lol. In fact I've never had more than 500 pictures on my phone.

If you're interested in an awesome, white-listed, pure vanilla server, consider applying!
345 in my main Minecraft folder (and copies in a copy of the folder), 81 in a test folder for 1.9 and 1.10 and 35 spread over 10 other folders.
These are mostly either taken by accident, pressing F2 instead of F3, or to demonstrate a point in a forum thread, plus some of interesting formations and such.
I would like some explanation of how they cause lag unless they fill up the hard disk?
They shouldn't be loaded, which doesn't mean they aren't of course but it would be odd, is there even any way to view them in game?
I used to have way more than 5000+ screenshots, but it caused major lag...like having a slow computer...
Your machine's OS (operating system) must have been loading your screenshots or at least an index of them or their thumbnails or something slowing your computer, but Minecraft was not lagging. Your machine just could not keep up.
I had a good number of them, a bunch from this old server that I liked, but I never backed them up so when the computer I had been using broke they all disappeared.

All that is gold does not glitter, Not all those who wander are lost
The old that is strong does not wither, Deep roots are not reached by the frost
From the ashes a fire shall be woken, A light from the shadows shall spring
Renewed shall be the blade that was broken, The crownless again shall be king
I have 2400 on imgur, a hundred on a really old photobucket, lost ~1500 off imageshack after switching to imgur when I didn't realize they were moving to only premium last year and deleted them all(so sad... ). Plus ~1000 on my HD, another ~1000 on an old computer in my closet, and ~500 on my girlfriend's computer.
Also this.

I would imagine the OP just ran out of HD storage. I have the same issue on my phone since it keeps corrupting all my micro SDs(stupid PoS phone), if I take too many pictures/video it can get really unresponsive until I clear them out.

This forum has made me decide that I now want kids, so that when they get old enough, I can forbid them from coming here. it's a terrible place.

And i thought i had a lot lmao, i have around 38,750 (32,000 of those i took in 2018 alone lol).
I basically use them to keep track of locations of unique terrain features like extreme floating sky islands or large arches etc. Using VoxelMap without hitting 'F1' before taking the shot the ordinates are on the screen.

TheMasterCaver's First World - possibly the most caved-out world in Minecraft history - includes world download.
TheMasterCaver's World - my own version of Minecraft largely based on my views of how the game should have evolved since 1.6.4.
Why do I still play in 1.6.4?
I have 8,804 on my computer, plus another couple thousand on my laptop... So about 10,000-11,000 screenshots total.

The BEST way to mine diamond, layer 12 and you.
Exactly 433 as of 24 September, 2016
I post pretty rarely nowadays. Gosh, I wish this place weren't so... empty...
And i thought i had a lot lmao, i have around 38,750 (32,000 of those i took in 2018 alone lol).
I have added some more screenshots since my last post: 71 from my Stoneblock (1.12.2) playthrough, and 171 from my Direwolf20 1.12.2 playthrough.
Most of them have been uploaded to Imgur.
I basically use them to keep track of locations of unique terrain features like extreme floating sky islands or large arches etc. Using VoxelMap without hitting 'F1' before taking the shot the ordinates are on the screen.
Learn something new each day
same but i also have a bunch of useless ones
